April 12, 2012.
Dream Vision Headquarters, Santa Monica, California.
Jay and Arnold had received a call from Dream Vision's studio a few days ago. The famous Hollywood star personally invited Arnold to talk about something important.
Even though Arnold is a big guy in the gaming industry, the gaming industry is still much smaller than Hollywood, and he himself is a Will Evans fan, so he gladly accepted the invitation.
He tells Jay to come with him because he was present the day they were invited, and their relationship is friendlier than the employer and employee relationship.?
Entering the six floors of the large building, they did not need to wait a single second before a beautiful woman with red hair and office clothes came to pick them up.
"Hello, Mr. Rival. Welcome to Dream Vision. I'm secretary to Will Evans. I've been instructed by Mr. Evans to guide you into his office space. Please follow my lead."
Politely saying so, Alexia walked forward, and the two men subconsciously followed her. Arnold is a married man. He has a beautiful wife and two children and is very satisfied with his life. But even his nerves churned after seeing Will's secretary.
Even Jay had trouble taking his eyes off Alexia's beautiful back.
Soon, they entered the modern elevator while being guided by Alexia and seemed to have reached their destination.
Looking around the spacious offices and divisions apart with people who were actually smiling, talking, and working cheerfully amongst themselves. It was an unimaginable sight that could not be expected in most corporate offices. It's just talking the level of a man named Will, who leads this company.
After walking a few more divisions, a clear glass office door began to be seen, behind which one could find a work desk, on which a laptop was placed, successfully hiding the face of the man sitting in the back.
Knock
"Come in, Alexia."
A clear voice came from within after just one tap.
Entering the office space, it looks that every corner of the office is very neat and well maintained. There are trophies and certificates decorated on one side of the wall, while on the other there are famous movie movie movie posters like [The Blair Witch Project], [Sherlock Holmes], [1917], etc., etc., emblazoned on the wall.
Handsome and handsome faces greeted them. Will Evans, the young Hollywood brand of today, gave them a light smile as he stood up and extended his hand to shake hands.
"Hello, I'm Will Evans. It's nice to meet you both."
Arnold shook his hand.
"The pleasure is mine, Mr. Evans. I'm called Arnold Rival."
"Jay Lincoln's. Nice to meet you, Mr. Evans."
Jay shook his hand as well, smiling.
"Please sit. Do you want to drink something? A tea? A coffee? Or something cold?"
Will asked, still with the same smile.
"Cappuccino, if you will."
"Same for me."
jay said as Arnold followed.
"Two cappuccinos and a cup of tea for me, Alexia. Ah, and don't forget the two sugars."
Will said to Alexia, who was standing beside them, as he nodded and immediately left the room.
"I hope there's not much trouble on the way."
Will starts the conversation with a small question so that makes both of them comfortable with him.
Arnold was already very impressed with Will's incredible first impression.
"He's much more mysterious than the media shows."
Arnold and Jay had the same thought as they continued to talk things through with Will.
Soon enough, Ethan and Johnathan also come to Will's office and join in the chat.
Will eventually starts telling Arnold and Jay about the game franchise he's thinking about. From the basics of the game to the mechanics, he tries to explain everything he can.
For Will, even without a system, this task was quite easy. And he was convinced that most of the later 90s and 2000s children from his old earth would find it a rather fun and easy task. After all, Will knew Vice City like the back of his hand.
He began to tell how it was going to start, what the background of the world was, what its main purpose was and what the mission was going to be.
"The view should be third person, and should strictly follow all the plot points I give. In addition, you must ensure that players can feel and experience the life of gangsters through the game."
Will continues to talk as Arnold, Jay, Ethan, and Johnathan listen to everything attentively.
From Jay and Arnold's point of view, they had never heard or thought about such a game, either, yet so much is on offer that they wonder why their R&D and innovation departments have not thought of such a type of game.
The details Will talks about about the game almost seem like the game already exists, and Will plays it himself.
The duo of EC games are again amazed by Will.
On the other hand, Ethan could not hide the excitement on his face. He was known throughout Hollywood as a gaming fanatic, and after listening to Will's game idea, his heart inevitably pumped blood profusely, making him rush all over his body.
"Vice City is the city where Tommy Vercetti came from. Vice City is a prequel to [Liberty City] and will be based on the life of Tommy Vercetti. The game will feature murders, robberies, and many other things, but the most important one of them is car robbery. We need to have a variety of models, and types of cars, minivans, mini trucks, bicycles, etc, motorcycles, etc., are featured in the game, making it one of the biggest and most exciting parts of the game."
Will continues, becoming somewhat excited in his heart as he recalls GTA's past. If he really did this, then he would be able to see one of the other masterpieces from his world boiling the blood of the younger generation.
Then Will says that Ethan can do Tommy Vercetti's voiceover, which gets him even more excited. He felt it was all a good idea, but it all depended on the success of the [Liberty City] movie.
It looks like Ethan isn't the only one who has concerns as Arnold asks.
"All this would only work if [Liberty City] succeeded at the box office. Otherwise, creating a game franchise on a failed movie would be a suicide."
Will smiles at it and turns his laptop, which reports the approximate graphical data regarding [Liberty City].
"[Liberty City] is currently considered one of the most anticipated movies of the year, and there will be no problem to pass the $100 million mark. My estimate is that it will generate at least $200 million, and that should be more than enough to support the game. In addition, I am sure that [Liberty City] and [GTA: Vice City] will do well, and there is a reason why I still haven't released the film."
Will convinced Arnold.
“I want to do a young Tommy Vercetti mid-credit scene in Vice City. He will do the stunts and stunts that will be used in [GTA: Vice City] later. At the end of the film, we can show the title of the game and the animated version of young Tommy Vercetti."
As if something had clicked inside their brains, everyone showed a sign of surprise as Will continued on without waiting for anyone to ask a question.
"If [Liberty City] works well, [GTA: Vice City] will eventually become the most anticipated game of the year. After all, what better publicity than a movie? Now tell me what you think, Mr. Rival."
Arnold and Jay looked each other in the eye, and as if speaking without saying a word, they nodded their heads as Arnold coughed and said.
“To be honest, I really liked the idea and wanted nothing more than to jump straight into the project. But I want to know first about the terms and conditions of the contract and partnership from the Dream Vision side first before giving a definite answer."
It was an obvious choice not to rush and might fall into an unprofitable contract, so Arnold asked to learn more about the partnership's conditions.
Will picks up his phone, dials his number and talks to someone right away. After a while, Amanda knocked and went into the room.
"Well, about all those complicated things, I'll leave it to her. He will explain and tell you everything, and you can freely voice any concerns you have. I want this partnership to last a long time and be a win-win for both sides. The Parties."
Will said as he pointed towards Amanda.
Soon, Arnold and Jay leave his office, following behind Amanda to talk about the deal. Will tells Ethan about the reshoot, and Ethan happily agrees, more enthusiastically than ever after learning why the reshoot happened.
Soon, both Ethan and Johnathan leave the room when Will finally slumps back into his chair.
Sighs
He sighed loudly when he felt the back pain coming in. He stood throughout the meeting while the others had free time to sit down. Not only that….
Will looked towards the tea cup and the two sugar blocks that were placed next to his laptop.
"Man, to no avail."
He was so engrossed in his work that he forgot about his tea.
For some reason, she felt very upset about losing the good tea. To the extent that box office failure would seem smaller to him than losing this tea.
Will put a hand on his face as he lay in his chair, falling asleep unnoticed.
