After brainstorming for days, Will finally made two drafts that would work at the Box office, at least his instincts say so. But he was confused as to which one to choose and hence, the event with Jeffrey happened.
“[Liberty City] gangster movie.”
The one Jeffrey chose was another idea that Will was working on. The first is an original spy film that will later connect to the world of spies that exist in his mind.
With franchises like [Mission Impossible] and [Charlie's Angels], there are a lot of things that might happen.
Since the system had told him to make a completely original one from scratch, he would naturally not take the risk and make the original one. But he can take inspiration from the franchise that exists in his world to make a truly original film, and there are no rules that prohibit it. Therefore, Will decided to take advantage of this fact and take inspiration from one of the most popular open-world game franchises in the previous world.
GTA, this name is so famous that it would be surprising if a child has never heard his name once in a lifetime. It was the childhood of many people born in the '90s, including Will. Since the game does not exist in this world, Will wants to create an original game inspired by one of the most famous game cities, Liberty City. He will create his own storyline and characters and just take the city from the game while hinting at other cities throughout the film.
In the future, it was his plan to invest in the gaming franchise of many of the world's famous games before and gradually establish himself there as well. But before that, he wanted to make a film that could later be linked to the game, providing a different level of immersion than they were used to.
Not only that, the main thing of these games is the amount of profit they can make. Only GTA 5 alone has generated more than $6 billion over a period of 5-6 years after its release, making a lot of profit in a matter of years alone.
All these reasons prompted him to create an original one that he could later connect to the game. He decided to use Liberty City which was designed after New York City and left clues about other cities such as Vice City and San Andreas.
If the film is successful, he could easily sell the GTA franchise based on this. Another reason why he decided to make a gangster movie is because after 2000, very few directors or studios made gangster movies. Since the new trend is sci-fi or rom-com, not many good gangster movies and the gangster genre have stopped unfavorably.
This is something that is common in any industry. Since a certain genre will be trending and producers will find it more profitable, there will be other genres that will be successful.
Will imagines making a violent crime thriller, getting the audience through a continuous emotional roller coaster. It would be a story of how a villain was born and rose to power instead of a hero.
"You see, that's how it is."
Will explains the whole core of the film to Jeffery. He wanted to hear Jeffrey's opinion about it because most of the things he said were useful and supported his experience in the industry.
“Eh, okay. The idea is good and I'm sure many want a gangster movie after a long time of not watching it. But according to what you said, this film will probably get an R rating because of the many gore in it.” Jeffrey voiced one of the main concerns regarding the film. Will knows there will be a lot of like-minded people.
In this world, MPAs (Motion Pictures Association) exist and they rank all the movies that need ratings. Just like in the previous world, there is no law that states that a movie should absolutely have a rating but rather a willing act because of the cinema. Most cinemas will never play a movie that has no NC-17 rating or rating.
The rating of a film indirectly affects the box office of the film because the audience can watch it. A normal movie is rated as a G, which means anyone can watch it and it is for the general public. A film that requires parental guidance and attention is rated as PG.
PG-13 is a film that contains several things that require strong parental guidance and are inappropriate for children under the age of 13.
R rated movies are movies that require a parent or guardian in a movie theater as they may contain***, gore, and such adult stuff.
NC-17 is intended only for people who are 18 or over 18 years old. No one aged 17 years and under is allowed to be in the cinema/theater.
[Sherlock Holmes] was rated PG-13 for its intense sequences of violence and action, some shocking images and suggestive material scenes. Or so KKP revealed it. In any case, if the film got an R rating, it would be troublesome for the box office.
“This is actually fine even if it gets an R rating. But I will still try to reduce the amount of blood and lumpy blood. After all, the main focus of the film is the story and thrill it provides, exploring the world of villains and villains.”
will and Jeffrey said after hesitating.
Will has taken inspiration from films like [Scarface] and [Godfather] for this film and wants it to be good, as it will be his first original work.
“I will finish the script of the film in the next two months and after that, I want to go straight into the production stage. Before that, I want you to finish casting and other stuff and focus on both movies. ” “Ya, don't worry about that. I will challenge myself with both of these movies.”
Jeffrey said enthusiastically as he recalled the films he would produce and cinematography. In addition, the scene [1917] was so interesting that Jeffrey felt that if he handled it well enough, he might get some awards.
“Alright then, good luck.”

"I came to LA to avoid conscription. But in the end, my fate really sucks."
Elijah Thomas, one of the two clues to [1917] said while running beside Renly. They were currently in a training camp and undergoing training to look like soldiers.
After Lucas joined, he held several meetings with Elijah and Renly and considered them suitable to play the lead role. Since Will is the head of their agency, he gives Lucas complete control to make the two leaders more like soldiers.
As a result, Lucas told Jeffery to set up a training camp for the two of them so they could undergo real training to look like soldiers.
Many actors have gone through the same thing to get into the skin of their characters during war or army-focused movies.
As a result, both of them had no reason to refuse and now, it was already their second week here.
"Don't talk. Just run. Like that, you'll last longer ..."
Renly said, in her breath. His body had given up and it was difficult for him to run for so long.
"If you stop, you need to do five additional rounds!!"
Their instructor, a retired soldier, shouted from behind and their steps suddenly gained new strength.
No matter what, they did not want the punishment.
In the end, they completed the entire course somehow. When they finished it, it seemed like their souls had left their bodies.
They were too tired to even crawl into their bed to sleep.
Renley and Elijah were just lying on the ground, their clothes were already dirty and their shoes had dirt and mud in them.
"I hate this but I can't even go back at this stage... Hey, are you listening?"
Elijah turned to look at Renley whose eyes were closed. Opening it, he frowned.
"If you can still have a conversation, you really have a lot of energy. And consider it a test. If we graduate, we will be on set and after a few months, we will debut as the lead cast of a multi-million dollar project. It's nothing for the gift."
A smile naturally formed on Elijah's lips when he heard that.
Debut as the lead of the film - It was the dream of every aspiring actor and now they have it. He didn't know if it was his luck or just a dream. But he couldn't wait to see it open before his eyes.
"That's the only reason I'm still alive today. Are you sure it's not a scam?"
Elijah asked the same question that had plagued his mind for a long time. He is someone without connections in Hollywood and now suddenly plays the lead role.
"Nobody spends millions in fraud. Besides, you and I are not billionaires or even wealthy. Just accept it."
"Okay. I feel like I have energy now..."
"Then do another round."
"Basic."
