The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 94

'Natalie Portman!'

Will's mind froze as soon as he saw the face of the next contestant and the name of the previous world appeared in his mind.

Will immediately turned the page of the file he was holding and saw the information about the contestant right in front of him.

'Natalie Bergmann? Even the name is similar!'

Unknowingly, Will's heart started pounding in his chest as he started reading about her.

'23 years old, single. No role has worked. A major film school. Doing odd jobs at this time. The last audition she gave was a year ago, so she might give up on acting and decide to give it another try.'

Will read his resume and kept thinking in his head. He is someone who is obviously going through tough times. On top of that, she was orphaned recently, just like Will, leaving no one to take care of her.

Although she looked a little thinner than Natalie Portman, she actually looked exactly like her.

"Hello what's your name?"

Jennifer asked and Natalie answered.

"I'm Natalie Bergmann, I'm from Seattle, Washington."

'Yes! Definitely her!'

Natalie introduces herself and Will shouts in his mind. Even the voice is the same.

It must be the same person, again with different circumstances. Since Will was busy recently with various things, even though he read a few resumes, he mostly missed all because he had a team to check on him, and hence, he was, he decided to see the actors in person today. Which causes this situation now.

To think that he left such a diamond in the dust. And this sudden meeting only added to the surprise, not to mention it was a welcome and pleasant surprise.

'I am blessed.'

It's gonna really feel like that. There was no other explanation for the alternate version of the great whiz coming to him himself. He already had the top priority of securing most of the celebrities from the previous world he could get his hands on, and most of Hollywood instantly landed on his lap. Not to mention they were here to join his agency! He did not even need to convince them or persuade them to join, they directly came themselves to join.

It was a situation where he could tell that he did not need to lose a penny and he made a profit of millions.

As Will thought about all this, his facial expression remained the same, not surprised and calm. It has become a habit at this point. Being nonchalant in every situation, is the best way to live in Hollywood.

"Show this scene."

Will said as the staff handed the script to him on Will's special instructions. It was the final scene of the [500 days of Summer].

On the 488th day, Summer visits Tom at his favorite spot in town. She tells him that she left the office and notes that she is married, which she cannot understand because she never wanted to be someone's girlfriend. Summer says she got married because she felt sure, which she didn't do with Tom. When she says she's wrong about the true love that exists, she replies that she's right about it, just wrong about it with her. He told her that he was happy that she was okay. Tom wishes his happiness.

It's basically a scene.

"Uh, who's gonna play tom?"

ask Natalie. Because there was a clear conversation with tom. And it couldn't be done alone, so he needed someone to read the lines to him.

"I'll do it."

Will said as he got off his seat. The staff immediately ran to bring a bench to sit on. After all, Tom's favorite place was the bench and this scene was in the exact same place.

Natalie looked uncertain as if she could not understand what was going on. Jeffrey just smiled, because he knew how excited Will was about work. It was not like this the first time he had acted against one of the contestants.

Although they tried to stop him when he tried to do it first. They then understood that he was only doing scenes that absolutely could not be just 'read', they had to be played.

Will goes and sits on the bench, while Natalie reads the script.

“I think I'm ready.”

Natalie said as she looked at Will nervously. Will just nodded and stood up to play his part.

Suddenly, Will's vibe changes and turns into someone who looks tired and tired from life, someone who has just lived and someone who has lost something precious to him.

"Hi."

natalie said as she started playing her role as Summer.

Will looked at her flabbergasted as if he did not expect someone to be near the bench he was about to sit on. He didn't know if he was coming now, or always sitting there, or if he was just his imagination.

“I've always loved this place, uh..”

Natalie hesitated and then suddenly lowered her head. He forgot the script because of his nervousness. He did not believe that he made a mistake at such a crucial moment.

The surrounding staff sighed and looked at him as if he was done. After all, everyone thinks that this is a game over if you mess up even once in such an important situation.

'Ah! Well, now I'm gonna look like a hypocrite or a pervert. Sighs."

Will thought inwardly as he signed. There was no way he would let go of Natalie, so he would give her another chance, which would create different types of questions and speculation among his staff.

She looked at Natalie who was bowing her head, almost crying.

"Hey what are you doing? Reread the script and don't rush it, okay?”

Will said with a smile and sat back on the bench. Natalie looked back at him with wide-eyed wet tears that were about to flood her a second ago.

'He's very nice. *Hik*'

Natalie thought as she looked at Will, completely possessed. Someone from the staff came running with the script in her hands, handing it to Natalie, whom she accepted clumsily as she was still trying to make sense of the situation.

***

"Hi."

“....”

“I've always liked this place, since you brought me.”

This time, she got the script right and acted as if she was really not in the studio, but elsewhere, sitting on the bench, talking to her ex-lover.

“What is not liked?”

will ask. There was an awkward silence, like in a real movie when they actually got into the script and started playing their part.

“So... I should probably say congratulations.”.

will said, and Natalie replied with a faint smile.

“Only if you mean it.”

"In that case…."

Will said nothing. The two Judges, Jennifer and Jeffrey, and the rest of the staff looked towards Will and Natalie. Especially Will's amazing acting, watching it live was something like a new level 3D movie party. They had seen it all day from time to time, and it carried the same amount of surprises every time.

As they play the role, Natalie continues to get better and better with each dialogue to the point where people will forget that she is Natalie and not Summer.

“You never wanted to be anyone's girlfriend, and now you….. Someone's wife.”

“I'm also surprised.” Natalie replied to Will's comment.

***

"Okay, that's enough."

Will said with a bright smile to Natalie.

“You can wait outside with the others. We will soon announce the results, only a few contestants are left.”

Jennifer said and Natalie nodded, giving Will a last look, he finally walked out.

“Haaah!”

Will sighed loudly as he stood up from the bench and stretched his back. She returned to her seat and Jennifer looked at her with seductive eyes.

“What, Jenny?”

Will sneered and he chuckled while asking.

"Are you interested in him ...?"

It was a question meant to ask if he was interested in her in that 'mean' way'. Jennifer's question contains a hint of hidden jealousy that Will is unaware of.

“No. I have June.”

“Oh... then? Do you know him from before? ”

Jennifer asked again.

"No. She's just a good actress, in my opinion.” Jennifer didn't ask any more questions and they went on to audition.

Only two people remained, and they were just like the others, talented yet unpolished.
