The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 27

*They Still Do It Until Morning*

* * *

After an intense morning and half of the afternoon, Will could barely walk out the door. To be honest, if he could, he would stay with June all day.

But there's work to be done.

Now that they have 20 hours of footage, the real work will begin, namely editing and post-production.

Both are a major part of filmmaking. One could say it was as important as filming the movie itself and required the same amount of effort.

In the case of large film productions, consideration will also be given to dubbing, soundtracks, color grading, and many other things.

But [The Blair Witch Project] was supposed to be filming a movie on camcorder.

It will not require fancy decoration.

An editor only needs to select and unify the separate parts of the film to form a continuous whole. And luckily, Will already has an editor.

Jeffrey's wife, Emilia, is a pretty good editor of what she told Will, and currently, is, he was outside Jeffrey's house to meet his film editor and discuss how he would distribute the film with Jeffrey.

"Will, comein. Lia's waiting to see you. We just talked about you."

"I can't wait to see him myself."

Will said and walked in. Emilia was waiting for him in the living room, and when she saw him walking in, she stood up and shook his hand.

She is a woman in her 40s and still looks very pretty. Will believes he exercises every day. Otherwise, it is difficult to look like this for a woman after a certain age.

"It's nice to meet you, Will. My husband has talked a lot about you and [The Blair Witch Project] since he came back from filming."

"I hope they're all good things."

"Most of them."

Emilia chuckled, and they all sat down to discuss.

As they spoke, Will thought of the information he knew about Emilia. He has been working in the industry for a while now.

Actually, she and Jeffery met while working together on a movie together. Movies have failed, but their love has blossomed.

Just last year, Emilia has been working on a film that has won many awards at film festivals. And he's even a side writer.

"Jeffrey showed me some footage, and it has been very well shot and fits into the narrative style of the film. But there's still a lot of parts to cut."

"I know that well. I want the movie not to be as dragged and bright as possible."

Will said, and Emilia smiled at his words.

"You can hand it to me. Why don't I show you some of the parts I've done? It's only been ten minutes, but I think you're gonna get a good idea."

"Okay, I was hoping to see it."
