The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 169

Dream Vision has recruited a group of experienced freelance crews to work on two films and one series whose production takes place simultaneously. Since he wanted to have a separate crew for himself, Will thought it would be better this way.

Teams are gathered and divided based on the strengths of each individual. Team A covered the [Friends] series with Will, and Teams B and C focused only on [Hitch] and [Catch Me If You Can].

It was all Dream Vision's plan to evolve more and more in the future.

“These people are trying their best, Jeffrey. We were lucky we got it.” Will said as he looked around the set. The whole crew worked very hard.

“Yes, they are very supportive. Especially since this will be one of their greatest opportunities to work with you. They try hard to impress you and make no mistakes.”

Jeffery commented, agreeing with Will.

Currently, Will's crew is on vacation after a previous project they worked on together. He thought it would be best if they took time off and then started rejoining when Will started working on the first Spiderman movie. But, Jeffery was present on set to help Will with [Friends].

When Will asks her to take a leave of absence like everyone else, Jeffery rejects the option, respectfully saying that he feels the need to be there during the set to help Will.

At the same time, she joked about how she felt like she had returned to her career working on a series. Will's answer was simple; he stated that the series would be much better than the previous films, which left Jeffery wondering if that would really be the case.

The series is big but rarely gets bigger than the movies. Though, that changed due to streaming services that sprung up on the left and right.

"It seems like everything is ready."

He thought, looked at the actors, then to the corner where the audience was directly present. Many of them looked enthusiastic and some were constantly glancing at Will.

The first scene of [Friends] will be an easy one in the first episode because filmmakers will generally choose an easy shot so they can start filming successfully. With new actors and actresses, he believes it will take time for them to get used to the role.

Because of this, he chose the scene where Ross would enter the show for the first time. Although he could start with some other scenes, Will wanted to start filming with that particular scene.

“Oke, everyone! Am I clear on that scene? Ross, you should look embarrassed when you enter the apartment. Imagine how you would feel if your wife dumped you for another girl but in a funnier sense."

Jennifer Aniston is still hearing it. He felt like it was a very funny plotline.

"And I want everyone to focus!" Will said as he stood closer to the crew. They were really focused on Will. “Do not care about the audience. Think like you are a theater artist if it helps you. You see those black chairs up there for someone else?” Will pointed at the audience, who sat down to see what was happening. “Don't look at them. They will laugh if the scenes are funny and actively react to our filming process, but I want to say, stay focused, okay?” Will said while everyone nodded.

This set is pretty much well built. The view from the top of the bench looks like a colossal box cut in half and opened so that the inside is visible, and the entire coffee shop is built, the report said, so it looks on camera like a scene taken inside an actual coffee shop.

Three large cameras were installed at Jeffrey's place convinced the scene could be shot.

But overall, unlike in movies, which record scenes in no sequence, sitcoms are made chronologically because of the live audience.

Will walked back, sat back in the director's chair, and stared at the screen that was directly connected to the camera ready to take pictures.

“Camera device?”

"action!"

"Hi" Ross greeted in a sad tone. Emphasizing the accent with a bit of a pull, as Will had taught him before. Ross was wet from the rain outside and held an umbrella in his hand.

The camera then moves to focus on Joey.

"This person said hello, I want to kill myself," Everyone laughed at those words. Joey made a small but neutral-looking gesture as if he wasn't even joking but was very serious.

"Are you okay, baby?" Monica held Ross' hand on the sofa and asked, looking at Ross empathically.

"I just feel like-" Ross began to say but was cut by Will.

He felt like the scene was not as good as the original in his mind and could be done better.

"Cut! Can we take one more but Ross, I want you to look tired, one more! ”

"Rivel camera!"

tired, one more! ”

"Rivel camera!"

"action!"

"Are you okay, baby?"

A loud noise came from the set. "Cut!"

“One more time, from 'Are you okay”

"action!" Will gives the order, and everyone starts where they left off.

“I just feel like someone grabbed into my throat, grabbed my small intestine, pulled it out of my mouth and tied it around my neck..”

"Cut!"

“Walk around the sofa, and meet Chandler. You know, as you explain, try to look as realistic as possible. Imagine having a wife who leaves because she's lesbian, and you love her and everything. I'd like to show it in you so that people can make fun of you, ” Will said, making everyone laugh while listening to his last words.

"One more!"

Will continued filming, and everyone continued their dialogue without messing it up in the first few minutes.

"Carol moved her things today," Monica explained as she looked at everyone.

"Ohh," cried Joey.

Monica then turned to look at Ross, who walked in to sit on the sofa and stand up, saying, "Let me get you-what" Monica forgot her dialogue, and everyone sneered.

They started all over again. They had to do seven shots to make Will satisfied with one shot. But with every explanation about Will, the actors get nervous, and Will feels it through their actions.

After several shootings of the same scene, Will thought that this would be the most challenging job as a director he had ever done. The rest of the filming passed with him trying to make the budding cast [Friends] really look like what he had in mind.

From the start must be interesting and accurate, Will wants the perfect scene, even if it is the first day. From time to time, he has to explain the character's personality again, and after five hours of struggling, four out of six actors slowly take the persona into it, making Will's work much more manageable.

***

The middle-aged man with a square-shaped jaw and a slight frown on his face sat right in front of Amanda.

"Mr Hanks, nice to meet you finally," he said with a smile and took out the documents he was carrying.

“Call me Tom, and you must be Amanda. I've heard a lot about you. Dream Vision is quickly becoming a reliable studio."

Dream Vision has contacted Tom Hanks for an office role from the FBI sent to arrest Leo. It was one of the best parts of the movie and since Tom Hanks was present in this world, one did not need to look beyond anyone.

“So as you know, the role is already ...” Amanda starts explaining things to him, but he's still trying to be a little formal. He is an A-list actor and is at the top of the industry. He's already agreed to do the role, and Amanda's only here to finish the contract process.

The reason he came here personally was because he wanted to meet Tom and try to get into a relationship with him because he was one of the most influential people in Hollywood.

He explains to Tom what and what to do before everything is sorted out for Tom to sign the role of FBI agent in [Catch Me If You Can].

Just like in the previous world, Tom looks and talks almost the same. The only difference is that in this world, his middle name is Williams, not Jeffrey.

Besides Tom, his agent was also present. And besides Amanda, Leo was also present. Agent Tom was mainly there to confirm the process without any problems. But Leo was there only to meet Tom because he was a big fan and knew him further because they were going to shoot together.

The other person who should have been here was Alan, who was working on pre-production and couldn't take the time, but he had already met with Tom before for the film, so it wasn't a big deal.

The agents and Amanda discuss Tom's signing process and schedule, and eventually, Tom is satisfied to learn he can sign the contract. And beside him was the inscription [Catch Me If You Can] written in black capital letters.

“I think it would be fine if I just ...” Tom took the pen and signed. "Handsome. There, done, ”he said while Amanda smiled in response.

"thank you. I hope the cooperation with you and Dream Vision goes well.” Amanda commented, took the document and put it in the file it carried.

Tom nodded, before suddenly thinking of something.

“I can't wait to meet Will Evans. The film and script made me very curious. The way he reached the top was no surprise by how good those movies were,” Tom shared his thoughts on Will.

“It's nice to hear it, but Will is currently in New York filming his new series. He was actually very happy to have you in that movie, ” Amanda replied. After the break, he added, "Will once told me that he wanted to play a movie with you one day."

Hearing those words, Tom smiled. “I want to discuss some ideas,” he added.
