The My Hollywood System

The My Hollywood System
Chapter 58

In Hollywood, rumors abound, and every day, new rumors about celebrities will come out. Some will be fake and some true, but they will still get a lot of clicks on the internet.

These rumors will appear in tabloids or on movie websites on the internet.

The LA Times is one such tabloid, and is famous for topics such as sensational crime stories, astrology, celebrity gossip, and television. They stand out because they often post some evidence with their articles.

And today, there was a new pair of faces that managed to reach the front page.

The picture was of a handsome boy and a beautiful girl kissing while drenched in the rain. The photo and the angle are so perfect and clear that one would doubt its credibility because it was not written.

Just above the picture there is a headline with words in bold.

[Famous rookie director Will Evans and romantic relationship actress June Roberts caught on camera!]

Under the title, there is a full article.

[Last year, Hollywood had a lot of topics that exploded out of proportion, but the most surprising of all was the dark horse at the box office [The Blair Witch Project].

Directed by a director who has dropped out of high-profile film school and has a low budget. Coupled with the fact that the film was shot with a camcorder, many people took it as a joke.

The film would fail in a simple world, and no one would ever hear of it, but it continued to make 200 million dollars at the box office. In just a few weeks, everyone went to the movies to watch this unique horror movie.

It became a phenomenon at the box office.

The man behind this almost supernatural phenomenon is Will Evans, a young director who made it out of the park with just his first film. After becoming a millionaire, he remained humble and did not give many interviews or show his face at any Hollywood party.

But after weeks, there was finally news about him.

Yesterday, she got caught kissing with June Roberts, the actress who played Heather in [The Blair Witch Project]. It was shocking because no one expected the two of them to date.

According to our sources, they started dating after the filming of [The Blair Witch Project] ended, and it's been a few months.

Unlike most young relationships in Hollywood, their relationship the longer the better. To the extent that Will Evans even joined the cast [17 again], the next film by Edward Friedman.

June Roberts plays a supporting role in the upcoming teen comedy, and there is speculation that Will Evans is joining the cast only to spend time with his girlfriend.

Since Will Evans was also the screenwriter of the film, he asked Edward Friedman for the role.

We were able to contact an anonymous actor from [17 again] who gave us some comments on how they behaved on set.

"It's not wrong to say that they're not even trying to hide their relationship. I've seen them kiss a few times on set, and they'll come and go together. The relationship is very different from what I often see. in Hollywood and..”].

"They actually post long articles in just a day."

Will thinks and sees the tabloids in his hands. The front page contains a photo of her and June kissing, and they write the headline in bold.

Frankly, she liked the picture so much, and she even wondered if she should ask the LA Times for a copy.

As for June, she was quite worried after the article was published. He did not know that the paparazzi would follow them and take photos.

The thing he was most worried about was Will's reaction.

He knows that they are both early in their careers, and this type of article can easily influence people's perceptions of them. That's why he called Will so early in the morning, and Will told him that he had no problem with the article being published.

There is no reason to hide their relationship, and it might even help June in her acting career. After all, Will was a hot topic, and anyone related to him would appear in the public eye.

Even the MCA would be glad that because of this, some attention has been directed to [17 again], who has not even started his marketing yet.

Hearing all this from Will, he felt relieved, and they had spoken for quite a while.

"At least this is better than my relationship with June coming out during [Sherlock Holmes]."

He thought in his mind and got out of his car.

Raising his head, he saw a large building. People came and went from the building, and everything seemed quite busy.

He had come here once when he was looking for a distributor for [The Blair Witch Project]. Yeah, it's the Foxstar studio building.

Today, he came here to meet with James Dankworth, the new head of Distribution. But unlike last time, he was the one who was invited.

Not otherwise.

As soon as he told Foxstar that he had finished the script for the next film, they invited him over for a discussion. James was very keen to have it.

It seemed like after the last time he rejected it, he was quite sorry, and that feeling only increased after seeing the box office [The Blair Witch Project] get dirty.

Will thought to himself and laughed.

At that moment, James was constantly looking down on him and acting arrogantly. Although, in the end, Will's film managed to scare him greatly, and he still considered it his victory.

Although their last meeting left Will disappointed by James' behaviour, he expects things to be better this time around.

***

"Hello, nice to meet you. I'm Michael Robert Elrod. But you can call me Robert."

"Amanda Garcia, I'm the CEO of Dream Vision's studio."

Robert shook hands with Amanda and sat down. After thinking about it, he decided to take a look at Will's offer. There was no harm, and he was definitely interested.

A two million dollar contract was something that only a barely known actor like him could dream of.

That's why he came to the Dream Vision Studio Office, but to his surprise, Will was busy, and he was actually scheduled to meet Amanda.

"You must be wondering, what is all this about? And what's that 2 million dollar contract Mr Evans was talking about?"

Amanda asked, and Robert nodded. The information she has is not enough, and the only thing she knows is that Will wants her to audition for the lead role.

But she doesn't know anything about the film or script even to prepare for the audition.

"Can you explain more about the nature of the role I auditioned for and what kind of movie it was?" She asked.

"Yes, I can, but before that, you have to sign this."

Amanda said and pulled out the paper from under her desk. Robert took it in his hand and read it. With wide eyes, he asked.

"An NDA? I need to sign this?"

(A/n: The full form of the NDA is the Non-Disclosure Agreement. The name is pretty clear.)

"Yes, I'm sorry, but we need to protect the nature of the project. This agreement is just to make sure that everything about the film doesn't spread to the public domain."

Robert hesitated a little after hearing that. He had heard that big studios would get actors to sign NDAs so they wouldn't talk about the movies they were working on.

But he never thought he would be asked to sign it.

After reading the NDA, he signed it. Now, he was more curious about the film than anyone else.

"I signed it. Can you tell me more about this movie?"

He asked, and after checking his signature, Amanda pulled out the script for [Sherlock Holmes]. He gave it to Robert, and after reading his front page, his eyes became round.

"[Sherlock Holmes]?!"

He finally muttered loudly.

"Yes, this is the first film that Dream Vision will produce. Unlike '90s movies, it's a massive production, and the script is much better too."

Amanda explained, and Robert inevitably became curious about some things.

"May I know what the actual budget of the film is?"

Sherlock's '90s film was something Robert had been watching in the theater with his father, and he didn't particularly enjoy it, especially since most of the film's background looked fake rather than a detective story, the film gave a bad comedy vibe.

One of the main reasons for [Sherlock Holmes Detective]'s failure was his low budget.

"The estimated budget includes post-production of about 90 million dollars."

"What's? Really true?" Robert asked, surprised by the huge amount.

"Yes, I won't joke with you. Dream Vision will handle the film's total investment, and it's already approved."

Robert could not speak for a few seconds after hearing that. He had heard that Will was only producing the [Blair Witch Project] project, and as such, the latter had also profited greatly from the box office collection.

But he didn't know that Will was able to produce 90 million films alone.

Even though Will was much younger than him, Robert felt like he was on a stage where he could not catch up with him. He could not help but feel a little envious and jealous.
