Chapter 18 Raymond's Destiny

Raymond broke into his house after he finished calling Velicia. She called Velicia on her way home from work.

Passing through the playground made Raymond think of Velicia. He immediately contacted the best porridge seller in the area to be delivered to Velicia's home address. After that he contacted Velicia and informed about the porridge that the courier would send.

Raymond opened his door and went into his house.

Suddenly there was a hand curled up on his waist. And felt the front body of a person attached to his back.

"Darling, I'm home. I miss you altogether."

Raymond widened his eyes when he heard the voice of the woman who called him dear and was hugging him from behind at this moment. Then he said in his heart,

"Tania?!" chirp Raymond while looking back.

The woman who hugged Raymond smiled sweetly and said,

"I miss you so much, dear."

Raymond smiled awkwardly at it. It was just that he could immediately cover it with his sweet smile.

Raymond's shock did not escape the woman's vision. Surprisingly the woman showed her happiness seeing Raymond's shocked face.

"Why? Shocked huh? Don't you miss me? I miss you so much" said the woman in a spoiled tone as she hugged Raymond from the front of her body.

Raymond smiled and returned the woman's embrace. There seemed to be awkwardness felt by the woman from Raymond's embrace of her.

Flashbacks

Tania, a woman from a distinguished family who directly asked her parents to marry Raymond.

Raymond was awarded a scholarship to a prestigious university and he met Tania on every occasion.

Tania and Raymond were in the same faculty of the same class. So that they meet every day in all their activities.

Tania greatly admires Raymond's clever figure and concern for all of his friends.

Because she did not want Raymond's attention given to the others, Tania asked her parents to marry Raymond to her.

Raymond is a poor young man who is smart and always gets a scholarship in a famous school. Unfortunately, he is an orphan who was left dead by his parents since Elementary School.

After that he was entrusted to the orphanage by his father's brothers and mother because they did not want to bear the cost of Raymond's life.

That time, when Raymond was in the final stages of his college, Tania's parents met him. They directly said that Tania wanted her to be her husband.

Raymond refused it. Other than her there was no love for Tania, she had not thought about marriage either. For him his study was the most important for that time.

However, Tania the beautiful girl who was very fashionable did not accept rejection from Raymond. He always approached Raymond and forced him to accept the marriage immediately.

Every woman who approached Raymond would get a harsh word from Tania. Even he once was rude to women who seemed to be laughing with Raymond.

Seeing Tania's treatment like that made Raymond increasingly dislike Tania. So that when the two parents Tania came back to see him, Raymond firmly refused.

Not losing his mind, both of Tania's parents prepare a surprise for Raymond. They are the biggest donors to the university. And they threatened to withdraw Raymond's scholarship if Raymond didn't want to marry Tania.

Raymond was silent, he was thinking about the offer that Tania's parents had made.

"We assure you that you have nothing to lose in marrying our son. Just look at Tania, she's a pretty girl with a look that won't embarrass you. And of course later after you graduate, you can become a lecturer at this university," said Rania, Mama Tania proudly talking about Tania.

Raymond was silent. Thought garbled. He doesn't want his life to be arranged by anyone. Less than a minute later the lecture was over. He should be able to survive to finish it.

"You're a smart guy, Ray. You can certainly see clearly the offer that is profitable or even detrimental to you," said Dimas with a sly smile.

Profitable? What benefits do you think? Your child is beautiful, fashionable, classy and certainly wants to win on his own. Then, do I have to give myself up to be her husband and forever be trampled on by him?

Of course, all that could only be said by Raymond in his heart.

"Ray, dong replied. Don't be quiet" said Tania, who was sitting near Raymond, moving Raymond's arm.

Raymond came out of his own mind. He looked towards Tania who was next to him. Then he turned to look towards the two Tania parents in turn.

All right, I'll stall it until I graduate and I answer, Raymond said in his heart.

"I'll think about it first" Raymond said as he looked at Tania's parents.

Hearing Raymond's reply made Dimas look humiliated. His face showed annoyance.

"Unfortunately we don't have much time" Dimas said with a cold smile at Raymond.

Raymond's hands clenched hearing the words from Dimas. Looks like Tania's papa is reluctant to let Raymond go.

"You have to decide now. Want to accept our offer or. release your scholarship," Dimas said, staring intently at Raymond.

Raymond's eyes closed, his fists getting stronger. He really felt cornered right now.

How'this? What am I supposed to do? Why is this happening to me? asked Raymond in his heart.

"Ray, what's my lack? Am I less attractive to you?" tania asked by embracing Raymond's arm and whining at him.

Raymond forced his smile at the moment Tania saw him, he could not go forward and could not retreat at this moment. With a heavy heart he decided to comply with Tania's request and her parents.

Raymond took a deep breath and then he let out his breath slowly, but it felt heavy and tight in his chest.

"All right, I accept. But I'm just asking not to get married right now" Raymond said with his chest heavy.

Tania hugged Raymond tightly and kissed Raymond on the cheek in front of her parents.

That immense sense of happiness was shown by Tania to everyone. From there Raymond understood that Tania's love for him was not wrong, the wrong way was only to get the person she loved.

And Raymond, being the victim of Tania's selfishness, forced his love by using his parents' possessions and power.

"How's Tania? Do you agree?" dimas asked firmly to Tania.

Tania looked at Rania as if asking for her mother's opinion. Rania just smiled at him as if to say that everything was up to Tania's decision.

"Yes, I want to" Tania replied with sparkling eyes.
