Chapter 74 The bitter truth

Velicia entered the cafe and saw Tania sitting at one of the cafe tables. Soon she approached Tania because she was afraid that her friend would get angry if she waited too long.

“Tania! Long wait?” greet Velicia when she just sat in the chair near Tania.

Tania looked towards Velicia and she smiled at her as she said,

“Lumayan sih.”

“Sorry yes,” Velicia said with her guilty face.

Tania laughed at the reaction of Velicia who felt so guilty towards her. Then he said in his laughter,

“Handering Ve. Don't put in liver.”

The look on Velicia's face turned into a sumringah. His smile that had always been there when he was with Raymond, was now back on Velicia's face.

“Sorry Ve if I bother you and force you to meet me. I'm having problems and I don't know who to share my story with to ask for an opinion,” Tania said, smiling bitterly at Velicia.

Velicia frowned hearing what her friend had said. Then he said,

“Problems? What's the problem Tan?”

“It looks like my husband has another woman,” Tania replied with a bitter smile.

Velicia remembered herself so much that she now sympathized with Tania. It is true that she is hurt and sad when she learns of her husband's affair. They have not discussed it again, only Velicia is more confident that her husband has a relationship with Lani because of their unusual closeness as a co-worker.

“You sure Tan?” velicia asked with careful attention to Tania's face.

“My intuition says like that Ve. My husband has changed, not like he used to. Even I found something in her bag a few days ago,” Tania told Velicia.

“What kind of thing Tan?” velicia asked with curiosity.

“There are items that my husband cannot possibly own,” replied Tania with a bitter smile.

Velicia widened her eyes hearing what Tania said to her. He felt back what he felt at the time. The moment where she found Lani's lipstick and small makeup mirror inside her husband's car.

“Why Ve, are you surprised to hear that and feel sorry for me?” tania asked with a smile on Velicia.

“Not so Tan, I felt like I was feeling back what I had felt,” Velicia replied with a wry smile at Tania.

Tania was shocked and moved closer to Velicia's seat. Then he said,

“Your husband cheated also Ve?”

Velicia smiled bitterly and nodded her head in response to the question Tania had given her.

“Ve... sorry,” said Tania while holding Velicia's hand.

“No problem Tan. Just relax.”

Tania returned Velicia's smile and she remembered something as she looked towards their table. Then he laughed and said,

“Yeah Ve.. sorry, I haven't ordered any food and drinks. You wait here for a moment yes, I will order first,” said Tania Sabil berrejakan from her seat and took the wallet from inside her bag.

Velicia just smiled looking at Tania who was walking towards the food order place and paid her at the cashier.

Suddenly Tania's phone rang. Velicia did not dare to lift it. Unfortunately, the phone was on the table and was located next to Velicia's hand on the table.

The instant that Velicia's eyes widened perfectly, even her hands covered her open mouth in surprise, as well as Velicia's teary eyes looking at Tania's phone screen lit up with a picture of Raymond inscribed with my husband's word accompanied by a heart sign as the name of the contact stored.

Velicia really did not expect what she was seeing at this moment. His heart was very sick, his heart was beating very fast. As well as his breath as stopped, it was very difficult to breathe so that his throat was choked, speechless.

“Where is he? Wasn't he sitting here?”

Tania's eyes looked across the cafe looking for Velicia's whereabouts. Then he said again,

“Is he going to the toilet?”

But he realized, he would not get any answers if he did not ask others. He stopped the waiter who was walking past him.

“Sorry, did you see my friend who was sitting here?” tania asked the waiter while pointing at the seat occupied by Velicia.

“Oh Ma'am who was sitting here? Earlier he seemed to be in a hurry to get out of this cafe,” replied the waiter while pointing at the chair that had been occupied by Velicia.

Instantly Tania was surprised to hear the answer from the waiter. It turns out what he thought was wrong. Velicia wasn't in the toilet and now she's alone in the cafe with food and drinks she's been ordering.

“Then, what about this food and drink? Why did Ve just run away? Is he in trouble? Ah, I better call him. I'll ask you why you're in a hurry without saying goodbye to me first,” Tania monologues while looking for Velicia's phone contact on her phone.

In the streets around the cafe Velicia walked like a zombie that walked without direction while crying along the way. Until he fell in a sitting position when passing people and slightly nudged his shoulders.

“Sorry Ma'am, I did not accidentally,” said the young woman who had been running in a hurry, now squatting to help Velicia.

Velicia's cry grew louder when in a position to sit on the sidewalk because of the fall earlier. The young woman who hit him and was extending her hand out of wanting to help him stand up was now so frightened that she left Velicia alone there.

Still in a sitting position earlier, Velicia placed her feet in front of her chest and hid her face on her lap. Break up already Velicia's cry, she can't help but cry anymore. Her pain and sadness made her look more like a hurt person.
