Chapter 90 Runs to you

Lani actually went to Ferdi's house after she went to work. Carrying a plastic bag containing some toys for Love, she was shocked to see Velicia running as if being chased by time.

"That's Mr. Ferdi's wife. Where the hell is he going? It seems like he is in a hurry," Lani said as she stopped her steps and looked full of question marks towards Velicia.

Namun, seketika mata Lani berbinar, senyumnya terukir dengan indah. Dalam hatinya berkata,

This means Mr. Ferdi is alone at home. I better get there right now.

Then he walked as fast as lightning towards Ferdi's house. Arriving there he saw Ferdi's house which was very quiet like uninhabited.

He pressed the bell on the wall next to the fence of Ferdi's house. The bell was repeatedly pressed so that it made Ferdi wake up from his sleep.

"Who the hell is ringing the bell like this kind of a doormat?" said Ferdi while yawning.

Get him off the couch and walk outside the house. His eyes widened in surprise to see Lani who was already standing in front of the fence of his house.

"Lani, why are you here? You better just go home. I don't want my wife to misunderstand you coming here" said Ferdi frantically looking to the right and left.

Lani smiled at Ferdi who was misbehaving due to panic about his arrival. Then he said,

"I saw your wife was out in a hurry" Lani said with a sweet smile to Ferdi.

At once Ferdi turned to look at Lani and was shocked to hear what Lani had said to him.

"Go? Where's he going?" ferdi asked Lani who was still outside the fence.

"Let me enter first Sir. After that I will say it to you," said Lani quipped Ferdi who had not opened the gate for him.

Ferdi is upset that he feels governed by Lani who usually has to obey Ferdi's orders. And now he must obey Lani's orders to open the gate of his house.

"Come in" said Ferdi after opening the gate for Lani.

Lani smiles happily into Ferdi's house. And he walked into the house of Ferdi even though Ferdi who was the host had not allowed into his house.

Ferdi sighed because Lani, as usual, was presumptuous to do something without thinking first.

"So, where did my wife go?" ferdi asked Lani while sitting on the living room chair.

Lani flicked both of her shoulders while saying,

"I don't know Sir. I just saw my wife running in a hurry. Maybe you're buying something" Lani said with a big smile at Ferdi.

At once Ferdi's forehead frowned. He tried to remember and find out the possibility that was going on so that his wife rushed to leave the house and did not say goodbye to him.

A shadow of his wife talking over the phone at night is coming back. He felt strange about it.

What a happy smile his wife on the phone with a person unknown to Ferdi very disturbing him.

"Lani, can I ask you something?" ask Ferdi to Lani.

Lani is surprised by Ferdi's question. He felt strange that Ferdi asked his permission first before asking him.

"Emmm. Usually also directly asked," said Lani while chuckling.

"Ck, you're this. You just answer the question I asked," said Ferdi while choking annoyed at Lani.

Lani also smiled widely while nodding her head enthusiastically.

Looking at Lani who nodded her head, Ferdi immediately asked,

"What would a married woman do on the phone at night without her husband's knowledge?"

"It's possible he's pubescent sir, like a teenager in love. Or maybe your wife is having an affair" said Lani by showing her serious face.

Just look at Ferdi's eyes. He was shocked to hear the answer from Lani which was the same as what was on his mind.

"Oh, not my wife. Friend's wife. I don't know why my friend asked me that" said Ferdi, smiling stiffly and misbehaving at Lani.

While Lani stared with pity at Ferdi who was clearly hiding something.

In the garden, Raymond and Velicia seemed to be inseparable. The two of them always joined hands and did not want to take it off for a second.

They have forgotten their status, because it is covered by the happiness they are feeling right now.

"Are you not hungry Ve? I haven't eaten all day. Do you want to accompany me to eat?" raymond asked as he looked at Velicia and gave her a sweet smile.

Velicia smiled broadly at Raymond's question. Then he said,

"I'm actually hungry too Ray."

Raymond chuckled at the cute expression of the woman in his heart. After that he got up from his seat and with their hands still holding each other, Raymond said,

"Come on Ve, let's find a place to eat first."

Velicia complied, with her smile she nodded her head approving of Raymond's invitation.

They walk as far apart as people who don't know each other. But, when Raymond turned towards the five-foot tent stall not far from where they were, Velicia also entered the stall.

In the stall Velicia and Raymond ate at one table. They remembered the first time they met again after getting acquainted.

Their laughter intersperses their eating activities. Until they did not feel their food was gone.

Suddenly, Velicia's phone rang. The soft ringing of his cell phone made Raymond look at him.

Velicia looked clumsy after seeing the name of the contact listed on her phone screen and looked towards Raymond.

After that he put his phone in his bag without picking up the phone.

"Who's Ve? Is it from the house?" asked Raymond to Velicia who was like she was being misbehaved at the moment.

"No. Just a call from a friend," Velicia replied with a stiff smile.

Raymond caught something strange from Velicia's attitude. She guessed that the phone she had not picked up was a phone call from her husband. 

Raymond would not know. As long as Velicia was with him, right then and there he would be selfish by always making her happy.

"Have Ve eaten it?" raymond asked as he stared intensely at Velicia's bead eyes and smiled at her.

Velicia nodded her head while smiling at him. Then he said,

"Where are we going now, Ray?" 

It seemed that Raymond was thinking of answering the question Velicia had asked him. In his heart he said,

I'd love to take you to a faraway place, so that no one can recognize us. I hope we can live happily in that place.

"As far as you Ve. As long as I'm with you, wherever I want to go" Raymond replied with a sweet smile at Velicia.

And it made a red tinge on Velicia's face come out. He felt very embarrassed when he heard Raymond's words. And his shame made him soar high towards happiness.
