I Fall in Love Wrong
Chapter 50 Self-defense

On the bus, they were mistaken. Sitting they are indeed next to each other, but not as close as when leaving earlier.

There was no chatter and there was not the slightest sound from the two of them. They just dissolve in each other's minds. Until they get to the stop they have to get down.

"Emmm. I had to stop by at the minimarket first" Velicia said after they got off the bus.

Raymond smiled and nodded his head. After that Velicia walked towards her left.

"Ve, isn't the minimarket going this way?" raymond asked as he pointed towards their right to stop Velicia walking towards their left.

Velicia stopped her steps and looked back, where Raymond was still standing.

He realized that he was taking the wrong direction. Maybe because of nervousness and misbehavior until he took the wrong direction.

Embarrassed? Of course, Velicia was extremely embarrassed at the moment. He smiled clumsily and sped his way up while putting his palm on his face to block Raymond from seeing his shy face as he walked past him.

Raymond smiled at Velicia's funny behavior. Then he said while chuckling,

"Ve, don't be shy. We are both embarrassing. So just relax even though I was misbehaving just now."

Velicia stopped her steps again. Then he looked back and smiled at Raymond.

"Sorry Ray. Looks like we got carried away," Velicia said with a bitter smile.

Raymond's naughtiness came to a halt after hearing what Velicia had said. Somehow he felt disappointed at hearing the sorry word that came out of Velicia's mouth.

"Why should I apologize Ve?" asked Raymond, showing his disappointed face.

Velicia was shocked to hear the question coming out of Raymond. He doesn't know what to answer. He just went silent without saying a word. The two of them just stared at each other intensely immersed in their feelings.

The sound of the vehicle horn resuscitated them. And they both went back wrong.

"After the night Ve, hurry home, he said you want to stop by the mini market?" raymond said with a sweet smile to Velicia.

"Huh?! Uh yes. I'm going home first Ray. Thank you for today," Velicia said with a clumsy smile.

That smile, why was Raymond's smile always able to take my mind off? Wow not this right. I have to restore my sanity, Velicia said in her heart every step of the way.

Raymond walked slowly with a distance that was not too close and not too far from Velicia. It was not that she was following Velicia, but it was indeed the path she had to cross to be able to get to her house.

Raymond smiled as Velicia passed the minimarket and kept walking straight without stopping by the minimarket as she said earlier.

He seems to be just reasoning. Maybe he wanted to avoid me out of embarrassment. Ah... What did I do? Why am I getting carried away too? I must regain my consciousness, Raymond said in his heart as he walked and his eyes still looked at Velicia's back which was walking not far in front of him.

Raymond condemned his stupidity. He doesn't know what's going on with him. All he felt was comfort and pleasure when he was with Velicia.

In Raymond's heart he said it wasn't true. And in his heart he was intending to shake off that sense before it progressed too far.

Arriving in front of the house, Velicia had already seen if all the lights of her house were on. She sighed because she had to go back to feeling her heartache when she saw her husband.

Chequek!

The door of the house was opened by Velicia lazily.

Inhaled by deep air, then swallowed slowly to calm his heart that began to return unsettled.

"One night to go home."

Velicia did not look at her husband, she continued her activities, took off her shoes and placed them in the shoe storage.

After that he walked past Ferdi towards the kitchen to grab a drink.

"Ve, where are you from? Why did you come home last night?" ask Ferdi to investigate.

Velicia took the orange juice bottle from the fridge and poured it into the glass. Then he looked towards the clock hanging on the wall.

He smiled at the clock that showed seven hours over three minutes. Then he said,

"It's still seven in three minutes. Is it very late, Mom? What if the clock shows at ten forty-five minutes? Is it midnight?"

"What do you mean Ve?" asked Ferdi while frowning his forehead.

"If this hour is very late, then what about Mas Ferdi yesterday who came home at ten and forty-five minutes?" velicia asked with a bitter smile.

Ferdi was shocked to hear what Velicia said. He did not expect that his words seemed to be boomerang for himself.

"I drove Mom home instead of going into obscurity" said Ferdi to try to defend himself.

Velicia put her glass on the dining table. Then he grabbed the bag he had placed on the dining table and walked towards the living room sofa where Ferdi had been sitting there.

"Did Mom use all this in Mas's car last night?" velicia asked as she threw the lipstick and mirror she took from inside her bag towards Ferdi.

Ferdi was shocked when he saw the thing he caught when his wife threw at him earlier.

Ferdi's eyes glared and his mouth gaped in surprise to find the lipstick and mirror in his hand.

"I-this.," Ferdi could not continue his words, his throat choked out unable to let out words.

"I found it in Mas Ferdi's car this morning. More precisely in the seat that I occupy," Velicia said with a cynical smile.

She deliberately paused her remarks because she wanted to know what defense her husband would give to herself.

However, Ferdi's extremely shocked expression could not make him say anything.

Velicia smiled sinisterly looking at Ferdi who looked very surprised. Then he said back,

"Did Mom use all that? If true, I'm very surprised. Apparently I lost to Mom who has a taste of red lipstick teasing like that. And even more surprising because Mother who was that age, still carrying lipstick and mirrors everywhere," said Velicia back.

Ferdi just fell silent and looked at the lipstick and mirror in his hand. It seems like his defense is free. He wanted to justify if it belonged to his mother. But he was afraid that his wife would ask her mother herself.

"Why silence?" velicia asked while chuckling.

Velicia grabbed the mirror and lipstick from Ferdi's hand. Then he showed the back of the mirror right in front of Ferdi and said,

"What mother is Lani? Since when did Mom name her things Lani?"

At once Ferdi's eyes widened to see the name of Lani on the back of the mirror. His lips twitched as if to say something, but nothing came from Ferdi's mouth.

Velicia laughed at Ferdi's expression which was as if he had been caught off guard at this moment. She was not laughing at Ferdi, rather she was laughing at herself for being too easy to be fooled by her husband.

"Ve, that-"

"Am I so stupid that you fool me so easily?" velicia asked with teary eyes and her voice trembled withstanding her cries.
