Chapter 73 Not wanting to lose

Velicia was shocked to hear the voice of her husband calling her name. His phone fell on the floor.

"Mother..Where is Mother?" call Ferdi back.

As fast as lightning Velicia picked up her phone and put it in her pocket. Then he pretended to take his clothes out of the laundry room.

"Eh, what's wrong?" velicia asked while carrying the unironed clothes in the laundry room

"Why are these gini nights here?" asked Ferdi while looking into the room.

"Ehmmm it. This, I take this outfit for tomorrow. I forgot to iron it. And tomorrow I will wear it" Velicia replied, showing her husband the clothes in her hand.

Ferdi looked at the clothes, then he turned to look at his wife. A few moments later Ferdi pulled his wife's hand and said,

"It's night, now just sleep first, tomorrow it's ironed."

"A moment" Velicia said as Ferdi pulled his hand to go with her.

Ferdi stopped his steps and Velicia released Ferdi's hand from his.

He went back into the room to put back the clothes he had taken.

Then he came back out of the room and Ferdi was still there. He waited for Velicia to return to their room with him.

Velicia according to, she walked hand in hand with her husband. In his heart he said,

Why is Ferdi so weird? Why is he paying attention to me? Why is he this way now, why not just realize it?

They went back to sleep in their beds. Velicia took a sleeping position like that, turning her back to her husband. And Ferdi turned his back on Velicia.

Not without Velicia being like that. She was used to facing her back because her husband was always behind her, as if he refused to relate to her.

Now he's used to it and it's hard to change that habit. But, at the time together with Raymond, he did not want to miss a single bit to not look at her.

The next day, Velicia and Raymond meet in the park usually. The two of them threw their smiles at each other when they had just met at that place.

It felt like they were hugging each other and holding hands like yesterday, but that was impossible.

In such an open public place makes them misgivings. They cannot freely appreciate their feelings because the place is still in the same area as their home.

Velicia sat on the usual garden chair she was in. As for Raymond, he sat beside Velicia with a distance of approximately one meter. Velicia sat at the end of the right seat and Raymond sat at the end of the left seat.

Again they laughed to see the cuteness of the children playing in the park. Until a ball hits Raymond's feet.

"Om, throw the ball, please" exclaimed one of the boys who played ball to Raymond.

The ball was kicked by Raymond to get to the middle of the ball field on the left side of the park.

"Thank you Om. Do you want to play with us?" the boy asked Raymond from where he was standing.

Raymond turned to Velicia and he got a nod from Velicia.

"Can I come play?" ask Raymond from his current place.

"Can." said everyone who played ball there at the same time.

"Ve, I'll go there first. I tipped my bag" said Raymond, smiling happily.

Velicia smiled as she nodded her head. Then Raymond ran to the middle of the field to play ball with them.

After a while, Raymond sat back on the park bench he was sitting on with Velicia earlier.

Velicia immediately opened her bag and retrieved the tissue from her bag earlier. He rubbed Raymond's sweat slowly and carefully. 

Their eyes clashed against each other, thus making Velicia's hands stop wiping Raymond's sweat.

"Ve, do we need to take a walk around here before we go home?" asked Raymond who was still in a position to stare at each other with Velicia.

Hearing what Raymond asked her, made Velicia stop the activity of wiping Raymond's sweat.

The two of them walked down the road they had always been on. Incidentally, the road is rarely inhabited so they are more comfortable passing through it.

Velicia and Raymond walked together while occasionally throwing smiles and staring at each other.

By walking together, we were very happy. Especially if we could really walk side by side hand without fear of the other person's gaze? Velicia said in her heart.

Can we enjoy it like this every time? I want to grab that hand and hold it tight so that no one can let go, Raymond said in his heart.

The notification sound from Velicia's phone was disturbing them.

Velicia took her phone from inside her bag. Then he read the message he just received.

The confused face of Velicia seemed after reading the message. It did not go unnoticed by Raymond.

"What's up Ve? Is anything important?" raymond asked Velicia who was still staring at the screen of her phone.

"Emmm. I think I should go first, Ray," Velicia said, staring sadly at Raymond.

"Is there anything important?" ask Raymond back.

"Eitherway. My friend asked to meet. But I said I still have business. And now he's asking me to come back to meet him. She will come to my house if I don't see her now" Velicia replied with a sad face.

Raymond scrunched his forehead after listening to the answer from the woman who owned his heart. Then he said,

"Who is he? Is she a woman?" ask Raymond to investigate.

Velicia smiled seeing the reaction of her lover. He was so happy to feel that Raymond loved him so much that he was jealous of him.

"Of course Ray. I have no male friends but you" Velicia replied with a sweet smile that made Raymond's heart very calm.

Raymond's smile suddenly expanded. He was relieved to hear the reply from Velicia. And he felt calm seeing the smile of his heart lover.

"Do I want to deliver?" raymond asked as he walked over to Velicia.

"No need Ray, my friend and I will only meet at the regional cafe here anyway," Velicia replied with a smile at Raymond who was in front of her.

Raymond was still staring at the face of the woman before him. His gaze made others know of his worries, as if he was reluctant to take them off alone.

"Look down, Ray, I've memorized the path. I guarantee you, I won't stray" Velicia said with a chuckle.

Raymond smiled in response to the joke from his lover. Then he nodded his head while saying,

"Alright Ve, but if there's anything you should contact me" Raymond said firmly.

"Surely Ray," Velicia replied with a sweet smile at her heart lover.

Raymond took a step forward right in front of Velicia, so their distance was only a few centimeters.

After a while, Raymond let go of his embrace. Staring fixedly at Velicia's bead eyes, she said,

"Be careful and let me know when you arrive."

Velicia nodded her head and there was a red tinge on her face.

Raymond smiled as he rubbed the red hue on Velicia's cheek. He knew that this woman before him was being embarrassed and part of the moment.

Feeling Raymond knowing his embarrassment, Velicia immediately took Raymond's hand off her cheek and said,

"I'm leaving now."

Then he actually walked away leaving Raymond still watching him from his current place.
