Chapter 42 Explanation

The explanation from Ferdi's mouth was eagerly awaited by Velicia for a very long time. And now she's just about to get that explanation from her husband.

What explanation did Ferdi give was the real one? Or will it reveal something else that Velicia hasn't noticed?

Ferdi had always covered everything from Velicia even though they had been married for five years.

However, when Velicia threatened him with a farewell, Ferdi was terrified and said what his wife wanted to hear.

"Please listen to my explanation."

Ferdi's words made Velicia focus her attention on her husband.

Ferdi told me what happened at lunch. Unfortunately what Ferdi said was not the same as what Velicia saw back then.

However, Velicia tried to believe in her husband. He assumed that he was the one who mistook him, even though in his little heart he was sure of what he saw.

Okay Mas, for now I'm trying to trust you. I hope that you are right and there is no such thing as that moment, Velicia said in her heart as she looked into her husband's eyes.

Ferdi smiled and held onto Velicia's hands after seeing her silent wife without saying anything to her.

He thought his wife believed him and forgave him. 

As for Velicia, she had indeed intentionally not said anything to her husband because she was trying to believe what her husband had said this time around.

It was not that she had relented to her husband, it was just that she was tired of arguing with him and was also tired of arguing with his heart.

He wanted to live in peace like before. Like the first time they were married and before her mother-in-law always pressured her for not getting offspring.

"Rest, I'll buy you food and then drink the medicine" Ferdi said, enveloping his wife.

Velicia simply complied without answering. She wanted to find out how far her husband could be a good husband, as she had hoped lately.

Ferdi sat pensively on the front bench of Velicia's room. He looked at the door of the room with a frustrated look. 

There was nothing in Ferdi's shadow of events like the one that happened today. According to her shadow, her days together with Velicia would be fine as usual, just like the beginning of their marriage.

The next day, the doctor who treated Velicia came to check on her.

"Bu Velicia's condition has improved, just not as fast as I expected. Is there something I can help you with so that your condition can improve quickly?" the doctor said after checking Velicia.

Velicia smiled faintly in response to the remark from the doctor who examined her. In his heart he said,

How can the doctor help me if the problem is my household problem. And it is also unlikely that my circumstances can quickly improve if the burden of my mind is very much doc.

The doctor understood that Velicia was hiding something from him. And he guessed that it wasn't his realm to know.

"Alright, ma'am, I hope that Ms. Velicia is getting better. Do not forget to take all the medicine. And do not think too much, because it can also affect the recovery process of the mother," said the doctor before he left the room.

Velicia nodded her head while saying softly,

"Thank you doc."

The doctor nodded his head. Then he stepped up to leave the room.

"Thank you doc" said Ferdi, who stood a little away from the patient's bed while Velicia was being examined.

The doctor nodded his head while smiling at Ferdi, then he remembered something.

"Sorry sir, Mom, it looks like my wife can't see you and Mom for a consultation like I recommended at the time. My wife is out of town. So I'm sorry" said the doctor, who felt sorry for Velicia.

Velicia smiled faintly as she nodded her head at the doctor who was looking at her. Then he said,

"It's okay, doc, we already have a doctor who's been dealing with our problems from the beginning."

"Are you going to consult the doctor again?"

Velicia smiled again, but her smile was different now. She smiled sweetly as she looked at her husband and answered the doctor's question,

"Yes doc, but only my husband will be treated by the doctor."

Ferdi was shocked and widened his eyes to hear the words of his wife.

Not only was Ferdi surprised, the doctor was surprised and thought what Velicia thought. The doctor smiled unconsciously and was happy to hear it. Then he said,

"meaning?" 

"Only my husband and the doctor know the doc," Velicia replied with a bitter smile.

And the doctor understood what was going on when he saw Ferdi's expression change.

After a few days, Velicia's condition had improved. The doctor did not allow her to go back home.

However, Velicia asked the doctor to be allowed to go home. The doctor finally allowed Velicia to go home with a note that she had to rest completely while at home, the same as when she was in the hospital.

Velicia agreed and she promised the doctor that she would comply with all the requirements that the doctor had given her.

Finally Velicia came home that day and Ferdi invited her to get into a car that Velicia had never seen before.

"It looks like it's a new car. Did Mas Ferdi borrow from the office?" velicia asked while looking towards the back of her chair.

"This is our new car" Ferdi replied with a smile.

Velicia scrunched her forehead hearing the answer from her husband. Then he said,

"Our new car? Since when?" 

"Since yesterday," Ferdi answered briefly while driving his car.

"Why? Didn't Mas Ferdi say it was a waste when I advised Mas to buy a car at that time?" velicia asked with a look on her face.

"I'm changing my mind now. I don't want you to be tired" Ferdi replied with a smile with his gaze pointed at the street in front of him.

Velicia smiled cynically hearing the answer from her husband. In his heart he said,

Because of me or because of that woman? Why didn't you buy this car when I asked for it?

"When will Mas Ferdi return to consult and undergo surgery in accordance with Mas's promise to me?" velicia asked when they were in the car.

Ferdi who was driving his car felt shocked and his face turned tense, as if showing that he was frightened.

"Later," Ferdi replied briefly while driving his car.

Velicia squinted her eyes and looked at her husband with suspicion as she said,

"When will you? Ferdi wasn't lying to me, was he?"

Ferdi let out a rough sigh and he answered Velicia's question without turning to her, his gaze still straight on the street before him.

"Later, after you've healed."

Velicia smiled wryly at Ferdi's reply. According to him, Ferdi has no intention at all to keep his promise.

"The one who will consult and undergo the surgery is Mas Ferdi, not me. So, why wait for me to heal first?" velicia said sarcastically.
