Chapter 32 Anxious

Ferdi receives a phone call from Lani, an intern with whom he has a division. Suddenly she becomes anxious because Lani says that she is now in an accident and asks her for help.

As she remembers, Lani is sick right now. He did not go to work today because he was sick. And now he's telling her he's in an accident on his way to the hospital.

Worried, of course, he was worried about Lani's situation. Because he's a kara in this town and his family is in another town. 

Now Ferdi is faced with two choices. Go help Lani or go back to his wife's room waiting for a drink from him.

After thinking for a while, Ferdi decided to go help Lani. With a plastic bag containing a large bottle of mineral water, Ferdi immediately ran to the place where the address was sent by Lani through his message.

"Where is Mas Ferdi, why not come? Are the shops around here all closed? Ah, I better drink this warm tea first while waiting for a drink from Mas Ferdi. Though I was wanting to drink water," Velicia said as she grabbed a glass of warm tea on the table next to her bed.

A message notification came from Velicia's phone. He immediately looked at his phone to find out who had sent him a message.

"Who sent the message? Is it possible Mas Ferdi?" velicia said with a smile at the thought of Ferdi sending her a message saying to wait for her for a while as she was still on her way to her room.

But Velicia's smile suddenly disappears because the one who sends her a message is Raymond, her new friend who is very worried and always kind to her.

"You're good, Ray. You always pay attention to me" Velicia said with a bitter smile.

He was not disappointed to receive a message from Raymond, even he was happy and felt very lucky to receive such great attention in his opinion.

It was just that she was disappointed that it was not her husband who sent her a message after a while leaving her to buy drinks around the clinic.

Velicia replied to a message from Raymond. And she did not forget to thank him for everything Raymond did to her and thank him for worrying about her.

Feeling a long wait for Ferdi not to come, Velicia tried to contact him.

However, his phone was never picked up by Ferdi, making Velicia even more worried about him.

"Where are you going, Mas? Are you all right?" Velicia wondered in her solitude.

Velicia was very worried. He's worried if something happens to Ferdi, like an accident. Bad thoughts always approached her and made her worry about her husband's condition.

Just buying drinks around the Clinic doesn't take long, does it? That was what Velicia had in mind.

Ferdi frantically went to the place of Lani's accident. Without thinking long and without thinking about his wife who was waiting for him, he headed to the place using a taxi that happened to be passing by when he was looking for a vehicle to go to the place.

His vibrating phone was not felt. His mind was only on Lani who asked him for help.

It's not sane Ferdi's mind at the moment. His sick wife at the clinic also needed him. But under the pretext of Lani needing it more, she goes to help him.

Arriving at the scene of the accident, Ferdi immediately looked for Lani's figure among the many people who seemed to be shrouding something.

Ferdi penetrated the crowd to look for Lani.

"Lani!" exclaim Ferdi called Lani when he saw her sitting with her elbows and knees slightly scratched by the asphalt road.

Lani turned her head towards the source of the voice which she believed was Ferdi.

Lani smiled and immediately walked quickly towards Ferdi.

Lani hugged Ferdi tightly while crying. While Ferdi who was not ready to accept Lani's embrace was just silent, he was shocked by what Lani did to him.

Ferdi did not think that Lani would hug him in front of the crowd. He came to that place only to help him who was being affected by the disaster and as a person who was asked for help by Lani.

"I'm afraid sir" said Lani in between her sobs.

"Oh, it's okay. Thank goodness you're okay. Have your wounds been treated?" ferdi said while rubbing Lani's back using her right hand and her left hand on her waist.

Lani shook her head in response to Ferdi's question. She kept crying in Ferdi's arms. And it made Ferdi feel unbearable to him.

"We'd better go to the hospital to check your wounds and have your illness checked. Weren't you going to see a doctor, right?" raymond asked as he looked gently into Lani's eyes after parsing her little embrace.

Lani nodded and Ferdi's hand rubbed the tears on Lani's cheek. It makes Lani feel happy. She smiled sweetly at Ferdi and hugged him back because of that feeling of pleasure.

Immediately Ferdi released Lani's embrace and looked around nervously. He realized that it was inappropriate for him to hug another woman other than Velicia, his wife.

Lani looks disappointed when her hug is released by Ferdi. His face turned sad and uninspired.

"You better go to the hospital to check it out. I will go home now" said Ferdi, looking at Lani's sad face.

"Can't you take me?" lani asked with very high hopes that Ferdi could drive her to the hospital.

"I'm sorry, I'm being waited on by my wife. He is being treated in the clinic" Ferdi replied firmly.

"So your wife is sick too?" asked Lani who was shocked to hear the answer from Ferdi.

Ferdi nodded his head in response to Lani's question.

"And you came straight here after receiving a call from me?" ask Lani back to convince her what she thinks.

Ferdi again nodded his head in response to the question Lani had asked him.

Lani's eyes sparkled at Ferdi's reply. In his heart he said,

Daebak, he came here after I called and he left his wife who was sick just because of the phone call from me. Progress, maybe Mr. Ferdi already has a taste for me. It's just that maybe he hasn't noticed. Come on Lani, spirit. It seems that soon Mr. Ferdi will start to like you.

"Then I will come with you. I'd better get checked out at the clinic where your wife is treated. Can you sir?" lani said with great enthusiasm.

Without further ado Lani immediately pulled Ferdi's hand into the taxi that was already there.

Ferdi was about to sit in the front seat near the driver, but Lani immediately pulled her hand and opened the back door and forced Ferdi in to sit in the back seat with him.

In the back seat Ferdi and Lani sat side by side. Lani glanced at the plastic bag that had been brought by Ferdi when she met him. Then he said,

"Ehemmm. Sir, what did you bring in that plastic bag of drinks?" lani asked as she pointed at the black plastic bag that Ferdi was carrying.

Ferdi looked at his plastic bag, then he said,

"Yes, this is a drink for my wife."

"May I drink Sir. My throat is very dry. I'll change the drink when we get there. Surely there are many who sell drinks," said Lani by showing his beautiful face.

Feeling unbearable to Lani who gave to him, Ferdi gave the drink to Lani.

"Here, drink it" said Ferdi, giving the drink to Lani.

Inside her room, Velicia could not sleep. He's still waiting for Ferdi.

"Where are you Mas? I waited for you. Are you all right?"
