Chapter 62 A Happiness

The heavy rain made them unable to go home for now. No buses passed at the time.

Raymond saw that there was an inn located not far from where they were. He parsed his embrace a little and stared intensely at the bead of the woman's eyes that was in his arms.

Velicia took her phone out of her pants pocket while walking out of the room. Raymond took his cell phone out of his pocket.

"Hello, what's wrong, Mas?" velicia asked when she received her call.

Mother where is it? It's late, asked Ferdi from across the street.

"Ehmmm. I, I'm still at my friend's house. We are still gathered together," Velicia replied with a slight nervousness.

Ferdi felt a strange sense from his wife's answer. He felt the nervousness of Velicia despite not seeing her directly.

Why until night? ask Ferdi back.

"Outside the rain is very heavy. No bus is passing by, so it's likely that we'll be late for home" replied Velicia who was trying to find an excuse.

Is Mommy going to stay there? ask Ferdi to investigate.

"Eitherway. Let's see the situation first. It's better that Mas Ferdi sleep first, don't wait for me" Velicia replied, after which she bit her lower lip as she felt guilty for lying to her husband.

Do I need to pick it up? asked Ferdi as if forcing to pick up his wife.

"No, no need. The rain here is very heavy. It is very dangerous to drive in this situation. I'll be home after the rain subsides" Velicia said quickly out of fear her husband would actually pick her up.

Raymond saw his cell phone screen lit up with his wife's name on it. She did not receive her phone call because she listened to Velicia chat with her husband over the phone.

The door of the room was not perfectly closed, until Raymond could still hear what Velicia was talking about very clearly from where she was sitting at the moment.

The door of the room was slightly opened as Velicia rushed out of the room in such a hurry that it did not close the door of the room properly.

Raymond who was still sitting on the bed stared at the door when he heard what Velicia said.

He realized that his feelings and actions were not right now. And the phone call from his wife that many times it makes Raymond feel more guilty so that he can not pick up the phone because of his guilt.

After her talk on the phone with her husband was over, Velicia went back into the room feeling guilty for Raymond. He awkwardly walked towards the bed approaching Raymond.

However, Raymond's logic tells him to quit for today. He realized that nature had supported their story, but right now, it seemed like their story had to end at this stage.

"We go home, Ve, your husband is waiting for you" Raymond said in a soft voice.

Velicia felt bad for Raymond. He caught the grief from Raymond's voice and eyes.

Velicia was convinced that the one who called Raymond was his wife. But he didn't hear anything from outside the room. It was just that he felt the same way as Raymond did.

Raymond did not say anything but to end their meeting today. But Velicia knew that Raymond felt guilty for his wife as well, just as he did for her.

"I'm going home first Ray. Sorry," Velicia said before taking her backpack that she threw in any direction when they just entered the room.

Then he walked to the door to go home first. But when he was about to open the door, Raymond stopped him.

"Ve, be careful" Raymond said with a gaze that seemed not to let go of Velicia's departure.

"You're Ray too" Velicia said before exiting the room.

That night they went home alone. As if nature had toyed with them, the rain had subsided when they decided to go home.

At home, Ferdi gets bored all day with Love. This time he felt something like that. Maybe because Velicia said she was going home late when they talked on the phone earlier, so it made Ferdi feel lost.

Suddenly his lips curved upwards when he received a message from someone. As soon as he came out of his house to the fence of his house.

"Why are you here?" asked Ferdi when he was in front of the fence of his house.

"I miss the same Father's Love" said a woman with a carefree smile.

Ferdi scrunched his forehead. He felt strange about the woman's answer.

"I mean, I miss the same Love and Father," said the woman after seeing Ferdi's facial expression that seemed to not understand the meaning of his words.

Yeah, correct. That woman is Lani. He came back to Ferdi's house at the same time as the day before, the day on which he gave Ferdi Love.

Ferdi chuckled at Lani's words. And the irony of Ferdi that makes Lani very happy. He felt that he had managed to make Ferdi laugh.

"Sir, I haven't eaten. Accompany me to eat yuk," said Lani by showing her puppy eyes on Ferdi.

Feeling that Ferdi was also starving because he had not eaten since, he agreed to Lani's invitation to him.

"Yes, I will take the wallet inside first" said Ferdi as he walked into his house.

Unbeknownst to Ferdi, Lani follows Ferdi behind her as she walks into the house.

"Well, your home is comfortable too" said Lani while inside the house Ferdi.

At once Ferdi's eyes widened to find Lani who was already in his house.

"Lan, how can you be here?" asked Ferdi in surprise.

Lani smiled sweetly at Ferdi. Then he approached Ferdi.

Ferdi's eyes widened to get a kiss from Lani's lips that landed a glimpse on her lips.

Then Lani ran out of Ferdi's house when she saw Ferdi still in his place.

"Sir Ferdi, let's go!" lani shouted from the front door.

Ferdi regained his senses from his daydream and he smiled happily as his hand held his lips. Then he rushed quickly to the outside of the house so that Lani would not wait for him for too long.

"Let's go" said Ferdi with a smile that he never looked at Lani.

Lani was also happy, she wrapped her hands with a spoiled wrestle on Ferdi's arm.

Yes, succeeded! Lani cheered in her heart.
