Chapter 54 The bad day

"Ve, we're having lunch yuk!"

Suddenly Velicia was startled by the familiar female voice in her sense of hearing.

Velicia looked back and she smiled when she saw the figure of Tania standing while smiling at her.

"Tania?!" chirp Velicia while smiling at Tania.

"How are you doing Ve? Is it healed?" tania asked as she walked closer towards Velicia.

Velicia smiled at the question Tania had given her. Then he said,

"As you can see now Tan. I'm better now."

Tania looked at Velicia from top to bottom, then she twirled Velicia's body as if examining all of Velicia's limbs.

"Thank God then Ve. We can have lunch together, right? I want to have lunch with you" Tania said as she held onto both of Velicia's shoulders.

Velicia smiled and nodded her head in response to Tania's question to him.

"Yes, now just yuk. You're done, right?" tania said as she pulled Velicia's hand.

Velicia stopped Tania's footsteps by pulling back Tania's hand that was holding Velicia's hand.

Tania turned to Velicia in shock as her hand was pulled back by Velicia. Then Velicia said,

"A little while, I said something else first."

Tania smiled and nodded her head approving of Velicia's words.

He let go of Velicia's hand and remained standing at the place to wait for Velicia who was saying goodbye to her comrades.

"Yuk we leave Tan," Velicia said as she walked closer to Tania.

Tania quickly grabbed Velicia's hand and wrapped her hand around Velicia's arm.

"Yuk Ve," Tania said with a cheerful smile.

They walk down the sidewalks they usually pass. Along the way, Tania told me about her family.

"Where are we eating Tan?" velicia asked after Tania had finished telling her.

Tania seemed to think while looking around the streets. Then he said,

"We ate at the cafe at the time. I don't know where it's more comfortable."

"Are we trying to eat somewhere else?" velicia asked while chuckling.

"No need to Ve. Better just be there. I'm already very hungry now" Tania replied as she pulled Velicia's hand to make it go faster.

Velicia complied with Tania's will. They walked to the cafe they had visited at lunch.

Arriving at the cafe they occupied the same table at that time and they ordered food on the waiter who gave them the menu book.

Tania went back to telling me about her husband, about how they could be husband and wife.

There was a sense of admiration for Tania in Velicia's heart. Amazed by his persistence to get the man he loved.

A shadow of Raymond's face and the events on the beach at that time reflected in Velicia's eyes. Undeniably, his heart was happy to remember him. But he was as strong as he could to get rid of the feeling he feared would develop even further.

Velicia smiled bitterly hearing that. He felt extremely small in front of Tania at this moment. He felt their comparison was far off. And he was very self-aware otherwise he would never be able to be on equal footing with Tania even though they were close friends.

They returned home from the cafe on foot and parted ways at a junction that separated the direction of their home.

Arriving at home, as usual Velicia who first arrived. Velicia sighed as she opened the door of her house and found Lili lying on the floor.

"Lilly!" yelled Velicia while running towards Lili.

Velicia was very panicked to find Lili who was looking at her with a blank look and her breathing was already panting.

He immediately took his cell phone from his bag. Then she called her husband's cell phone number.

"Mas, Lili.

Suddenly Ferdi who was eating together with his division members immediately stood up from his seat because he was shocked to hear the name Lili called by Velicia.

Lili why? asked Ferdi while showing his panicked face.

"He was lying on the floor when I got home. And she is very weak right now," Velicia replied frantically and in fear of her husband.

What are you doing to him? Did you intentionally give him food or drink that could kill him? asked Ferdi who was preparing to leave by toting his bag.

Velicia was very surprised to hear the accusations from her husband. She felt her heart ache because of being accused by her husband.

"Yes right. I purposely gave her something wrong so that I would no longer take care of her. Satisfied?" velicia said tearfully hearing the accusations from her husband.

You. Come on, take him to the veterinary clinic. I will go there right now, Ferdi said as he walked quickly leaving his co-workers without saying goodbye to them.

"Sir, Mr Ferdi, how does this pay? It's not you who bought us a new car" one of Ferdi's co-workers exclaimed when he saw Ferdi walking away from them.

However, Ferdi was paying attention to his ears. He still walked out of the place to eat leaving his colleagues who were still eating there.

"Already, let me pay," said Lani while staring at the back of Ferdi who walked away from them.

"You're so nice Lan. Do you like. Mr Ferdi's willing to replace him to pay for all this?" ask one of them.

Lani turned her head towards the person who asked her, she looked annoyed at him while saying,

"What does this have to do with you? Do I let you pay for the food you eat?" 

The other person hits the person's body and throws a roll of tissue at the person. Feeling already upsetting all of his colleagues who were looking at him with annoyed looks, then he said,

"It's not like that, I'm just kidding."

"Tomorrow will also be replaced by Mr. Ferdi" said Lani with annoyance.

"definitely. Ask him, bill continues if it has not been replaced the money with Mr. Ferdi. You are still an intern at our place, do not let you push because you replaced Mr. Ferdi to pay for all this," said the person back.

Lani grunted in annoyance at the man's words. Even though the person was more senior than her, she was still annoyed at him.

He didn't know my family was rich. Even though I am just a bored child, I can afford to buy you guys this kind of meal every day, Lani said in her heart.

Velicia immediately took Lili out of her house by carrying her and ran small to the veterinary clinic which was not too far away and not too close from her house.

"Please, would you please save my cat?"
