Chapter 71 Disappointment of Raymond

“Says today you didn't come home because of a visit to your parents' house?” raymond asked hesitantly as he placed the bag he was carrying on the sofa.

“What is it that you're late?” tania asked as she stared fixedly at her husband's bead eyes.

“Sorry,” Raymond said as he lowered his head.

Tania smiled at her husband. Then he said,

“Hey, why should you apologize?”

“Come,” said Raymond with a bitter smile.

Then he stood up from his seat while saying,

“I'll clean my body.”

“Darling, did you do something shopping? There are expenses worth five hundred and sixty-five thousand rupiah,” Tania said when Raymond had just stepped foot one step away from her.

Raymond's move stopped. Then Raymond turned his back to his wife, looking at her question markingly.

Tania smiled at him while showing her phone screen in front of her husband. Then he

say,

“Raymond darling, you are in my grasp. So, you can't do it.”

Raymond smiled wryly, he looked very disappointed at what his wife was doing. That was what made Raymond unable to love her even though he had tried his best to accept her as his wife and tried hard to love her.

“Just want to eat with the kids only. Shouldn't we share if we can?” said Raymond, after that he put his bag on his shoulder and walked towards his study.

Tania smiled cynically at the question from her husband. In his heart he said,

Sharing? We have to share, but not share our feelings and bodies.

I'm gonna find out the truth, Raymond. Just wait and see if you can escape my grasp, Tania said in her heart.

In his study, Raymond seemed to be thinking. Both of his hands held his head and covered his lowered face. He was thinking about his life. About her forbidden feelings together with Velicia.

He did not want to let go of the woman who now had his heart. The inhabitants of his heart had introduced him to such love and happiness that he would not cast him out of his heart.

At first she and Velicia wanted to give up on their feelings because they felt guilty about their partner and they realized that their feelings were wrong. Unfortunately, their partner's attitude that makes them disappointed and hurt makes them want to escape from the shackles of marriage that only makes them unhappy.

Suddenly Raymond's office door opened. Raymond turned to the door and found his wife standing at the door smiling at him.

“Honey, let's go to sleep,” Tania said as she walked closer to her husband.

Raymond sighed and looked at his wife's face which was like keeping something in her smile.

“Let's sleep. Don't think about your job that only takes your time and energy,” Tania said as she pulled her husband's hand.

Raymond did not flinch, he looked at his wife with a look of objection. He strongly objected to the words of Tania who had always demeaned his work.

“I love my job and I enjoy it a lot. Please don't you look down on my job,” Raymond said with a look of annoyance at his wife.

Tania let go of her husband's hand. Then he folded his hands in front of his chest while saying,

“Not that I look down on your work, but this is a fact. You devote your time, energy and mind to a job that pays you very little. Try if you follow my parents' request to replace them, surely you will not be this tired.”

Raymond stood up from his seat and he looked at his wife with a look of disappointment. After that he said,

“Is that why you told the principal I worked for that I was a professor?”

“Iya true. Actually you are capable. You are the best among us, unfortunately you prefer to stop and work as a teacher at that school,” Tania replied impassively.

“You lied, I didn't like it,” Raymond said with annoyance.

“You think I like being lied to? Remember Ray, I also do not like to be lied to,” Tania said with a cynical look.

Raymond looked at his wife with a look of disbelief. He was a gentle and loving man, so from a long time ago he wanted to have the same wife as him. A meek and loving wife like Velicia.
