Chapter 88 The meaning of love

It seems like his mood is good. She was seen sumringah this morning, Tania said in her heart while eating her sandwich and looking at her husband.

Raymond felt that he was being watched. But he was just ignorant and pretended not to know. He continued eating without being disturbed. 

“I'm leaving now,” Raymond said after drinking coffee made by his wife.

“I'm taking it,” said Tania while wiping her mouth using a tissue.

Raymond, who was wearing a bag on his shoulder, stopped his movements. He looked at his wife's face as he said,

“I'd better just walk to get my body back healthy.”

“Why? Is there anything I can't know? Remember Ray, I'm your wife,” Tania said with a sharp look as if threatening Raymond.

Raymond let out a sigh, he felt like he had been a prisoner of his wife and family all along. In his heart he said,

It seems I won't be easy to get away from it. Even to breathe, I need his permission.

Tania retrieved her car keys from inside her bag which she placed on the seat next to her. Then he said,

“Let's go now, before traffic becomes congested.”

Raymond said he followed his wife and got into his car. In the car Raymond pretends to be busy reading books to avoid the questions his wife gives him and ends up being debated as usual.

“Later I will try to pick you up,” Tania said while driving her car.

Raymond turned his attention away from his book on the street before him, saying,

“You're busy. And I don't want to be a burden to you.”

Tania suddenly stopped her car. And it was true what Raymond was worried about. Tania got upset again and asked him to argue.

“Why do you feel disturbed when you are with me?” tania asked with a bitter look at her husband.

“No. It's just your feeling,” Raymond replied as he stuffed his book into his bag.

“But you are always-“

The sound of the car horn in the back of their car and the scream from the driver stopped Tania's words.

Raymond got out of the car and left his wife still upset with him. Raymond walked regardless of the car horn that was following him. He was sure that the car horn was rung by his wife.

That is what Raymond was guessing. Tania's car is now blocking her way. The car stopped right in front of Raymond, making Raymond stop walking. A few seconds later, Tania walked up to Raymond.

Raymond again breathed heavily. He saw the annoyance and anger from his wife's face. He looked around who was close to his school.

Even he saw many pairs of eyes looking towards him. They are all his students. And Raymond did not want his wife to humiliate him in front of those who knew him.

“Tania, let's talk again at home. Now it's time for me to enter,” said Raymond as he ran past his wife.

Tania was just gawking at what Raymond was doing to her. She felt unacceptable and smiled in disbelief at what her husband was doing to her.

This time her husband was acting like that to her. His fingers restored his hair in annoyance as he said,

“Look at what I'll do Ray!”

Elsewhere, at Velicia's house, Ferdi looked suspiciously at his wife. He drank his wife's coffee without taking his eyes off his wife. He was still wondering in his heart about who was talking over the phone with his wife in the evening hours like yesterday.

He was eager to ask his wife, but he was afraid that his wife would return as angry at him as she had lately.

We just got better, we have to fight again? I'd better ask him later, Ferdi said in his heart.

“Mother, today we go to the hospital. Later I will do surgery,” said Ferdi after swallowing his food.

“Hah?!” chirp Velicia who was shocked to hear the words of her husband.

“Better Bunda permission only today,” said Ferdi with a smile.

Then he looked at the clock on his right wrist as he said,

“Awhile we'll be leaving.”

Ferdi scrunched his forehead hearing a question from his wife that was strange according to him. Then he said,

“Not Mother wants me to do it fast?”

“Emmm. It's just that I think it's necessary to determine the day first,” replied Velicia nervously.

Ferdi smiled faintly at the reply from his wife, after which he got up from his seat and said,

“I've contacted her doctor directly and she told me to come this morning. Hurry up, I'll wait in the car.”

There was no other choice, Velicia had to obey her husband's orders. Now his life is drifting. He felt that he no longer knew what was good and what was bad.

Ever since she had a relationship with Raymond, she felt like an evil woman who snatched away the husband belonging to another woman who was none other than her friend. She also betrayed her husband.

With a limp Velicia headed for her husband's car after locking the door of her house. At every step he wondered in his heart,
