Chapter 24 The arrival of guests who make misgivings

"Aaahhh, it feels very fresh after bathing," Velicia said while wearing her towel.

Velicia walked up to her bag and picked up the phone that was in her bag.

Raymond sent me some photos of Velicia he had taken at the time, while playing soap bubbles with the kids in the park.

Velicia smiled happily at the photos. He recalled the times in the soap bubble playground with the kids.

"Mother..Mother Lili's mother..Let's eat quickly," exclaimed Ferdi from the dining table.

"Why Mas? Is there a problem?" asked Velicia who had just walked out of the door of her room.

"No, there's nothing. Lily looks very hungry. It turned out that he was waiting for us to ask for a meal," Ferdi replied as he chuckled at Lili who was very greedy eating her food.

Velicia looked in wonder at her husband. For a while she was watching her husband and there was a question in her heart that she would not be able to ask him.

"Has the food been prepared by all the cooks?" asked Velicia who was still staring at her husband was smiling looking at Lili eating voraciously.

"Well, let's eat Mas, then" Velicia told Ferdi, after which she walked to the table.

"Wash Mas first" said Velicia, taking the white rice into Ferdi's and hers' plates.

Ferdi sighed for a moment while looking at his wife, after which he went to the kitchen to wash his hands in the sink in the kitchen.

"Although Lili is clean, but still Mas we have to wash our hands before eating," Velicia said as she placed Ferdi's plate in front of her.

"But I ate it with a spoon, not with my hands" said Ferdi, who looked a little upset.

Now it was Velicia's turn to sigh to see the behavior of her husband who was still like a child.

"Mas, it's not that I'm nagging because I want to, but I remind you Mas. You know that, right?" said Velicia who felt her appetite slightly disappeared to see her husband's behavior.

"Yes. But next time do not be like Mother who always nags even though all her orders have been obeyed," said Ferdi with an annoyed tone.

Velicia again sighed and could only say in her heart,

Never mind, I think I should give up on you. I'm so lazy I warned you. I'm so tired of fighting with you. Just now I am grateful for your attitude that has changed again like before, in fact. I can't think much of it so that I can recover quickly.

They both eat their food in silence like people don't know each other at a table.

Velicia and Ferdi stopped eating and looked at each other.

"Who is Mas?" velicia asked questioningly at Ferdi.

"Don't know. Who's coming in these nights?" ferdi said as he moved out of his chair.

Velicia was about to stand following her husband to open the door, but undo it, she sat back in her chair.

"You guys are eating?" 

There was the voice of a familiar middle-aged woman in Velicia's ears.

Velicia immediately got up from her seat and kissed the back of her mother-in-law's hand.

"Yes Mom. Just now we ate," Velicia replied as she sat back in her chair after her mother-in-law also sat in her front seat, more precisely next to Ferdi's chair.

It looks like Ms. Anisa who pays attention to every food available on the dining table.

In Velicia's heart was extremely ravenous. She did not want to get any scolding or lectures from her mother-in-law at this time. He was tired of being born today.

"Lumayan delicious," said Bu Anisa after tasting all the food presented at the dining table.

"Mom not eating?" velicia asked in her slightly weak soft voice.

"Mommy had eaten at home before coming here," replied Ms. Anisa in between her chews.

Velicia and Ferdi continued to eat quietly, without any noise or conversation.

After they finished eating, Velicia tidied the dining table herself. This was what Velicia did not like from Ferdi at the moment. He was no longer like he used to help his wife.

Velicia smiled bitterly as she cleaned up all the cutlery and washed it. In his heart he said,

Fate.. fate.. has been limp body, still doing work like this. Though he knew that his wife was still sick, but how could he let his wife do all this. What you expected Ve, just yesterday when you were really sick, that child and mother could have you do it all. Sometimes I think I'm a maid here, not a wife.

"Velicia.. come here if it's done," exclaimed Anisa ma'am from the dining room.

Velicia immediately came to fulfill her mother-in-law's call.

"What's wrong, ma'am?" asked Velicia who suddenly felt uneasy.

"Ferdi.. You are also here, I want to talk to you," Anisa's mother again exclaimed to Ferdi who was sitting on the sofa with the television on.

Velicia looked at her mother-in-law with question marks. In his heart he said,

What's the matter? Looks like I'm gonna say something very important. Would you have told Mas Ferdi to remarry in order to give birth? If that happens, I'd better get divorced.
