Chapter 39 Collapse of trust

Velicia's heart could no longer accept the reality she heard. He would rather leave that place so that he would not come back to hear the fact that hurt his heart so much.

Velicia's hand coded the two friends to get them to push Velicia's wheelchair.

They immediately pushed Velicia's wheelchair towards her room by taking a different path to avoid being noticed by the doctor, as the door of the doctor's room was slightly open.

Rani and Vira did not say anything to Velicia. They knew that at this moment Velicia was unwilling to talk about it. And they knew that Velicia would want to be alone to calm her mind.

Velicia's wheelchair now led to her room. Rani and Vira are shocked when they find Ferdi who is already in the room.

"Ve, we go home first. Get well quickly Ve so you can go back to teaching again," said Vira while hugging the body of Velicia who was still sitting in a wheelchair.

Vira let go of her embrace, alternating with Rani who was now hugging Velicia while saying,

"Cheal fast yes Ve. Patience and sincerity, Ve. Hope everything goes well."

Velicia nodded weakly with tearful eyes hearing the hope and prayers conveyed by her two friends.

He can't speak anymore. His voice seemed lost like he could no longer speak.

The two of them left Velicia who was still sitting on her wheelchair. While Ferdi sat on the sofa in the room. 

Ferdi looked at Velicia with a guilty look. Velicia stared at her husband who had been lying to her for years.

For approximately five years they lived together as husband and wife, only today this became the most painful day for Velicia. 

Seeing Ferdi's affair was painful, but hearing the fact he had just heard made his life shattered instantly.

Velicia felt that her struggle and sacrifice to get offspring had been in vain. Even his devotion as a wife seemed to be looked at one eye by Ferdi. And her pride felt trampled by her own husband.

"Ve, how are you? Are you better?" ferdi asked as he walked over to Velicia.

Velicia seemed to grunt looking at her husband's face. His blood was boiling even more considering the fact he had just heard. Her heart was pierced by thousands of needles when she heard her husband's voice.

"Ve, what's wrong with you? Is anyone sick?" ferdi asked as he held onto Velicia's hand.

Instantly Velicia threw out Ferdi's hand and she stared intently at Ferdi as she was about to hold his hand back.

Ferdi was surprised and looked at his wife in surprise. Then he said,

"What's up Ve? Why are you acting like that to your husband?"

Velicia smiled sinisterly at her Husband who sounded like he was worried about her a lot.

"His husband? What kind of husband does his wife ask to respect? A husband who lies to his wife?" asked Velicia cynically.

Ferdi let out a long breath. He did not think that his wife was still angry with him.

"Ve, I told you. I never cheated on any woman. I'm loyal to you. Even I never had the intention to cheat in the slightest," said Ferdi firmly while staring intensely at Velicia's eyes.

"Ah... affair, why could I forget about it?" velicia said while laughing bitterly laughing at herself.

Ferdi looked in wonder at Velicia. According to him, his wife has changed her attitude since last night after Lani's presence in her room.

Why did he forget? Isn't he angry about it? Ferdi said in his heart while looking at his wife's astonishment.

"Mother?" velicia said while chuckling.

"Don't call me Mother anymore. Did you know that name makes me sad and hurt?" velicia said with a trembling voice holding back her cries.

Ferdi was shocked to the point that his eyes were wide open to hear what his wife had said. He did not expect that the call he had given so far could make his wife sad and hurt.

"Why you?" asked Ferdi with a weakened voice.

"Why? Called by the husband as Mother without having children. Do you think I'm okay? And it turns out you called me Mother just for your pet cat Mas? Where's your conscience?" velicia asked with a slightly choked voice accompanied by the descent of a puddle of tears from her eyes.

Ferdi again widened his eyes to hear the words of his wife. It turned out that all this time his mistake without realizing it was very much on his wife. 

"Ve, I'm sorry, honey. I didn't mean to hurt you. I just-"

"Just make hell for me?" velicia asked with a cynical smile at Ferdi.

Now Ferdi's eyes widened perfectly and he took a step back in shock at Velicia's words.

"You remember when you proposed to me? Did you promise to give me heaven? But now, I feel like I'm living in hell, Mas" Velicia said in a choked voice holding back her cries.

Ferdi again walked forward to his wife. Then he took his wife's hand.

However, again Velicia threw out Ferdi's hand which held her hand to calm her down.

"I'm sorry Ve. I'm sorry, honey. Please forgive me," said Ferdi with a wailing face.

Velicia smiled cynically and stared intently at her husband hearing the words of apology coming out of her husband's mouth.

"I'm sorry? Sorry for what? For infidelity? Or for the vasectomy you did without my knowledge?" valecia said with a full stare at her husband.

Again Ferdi was surprised by what his wife said. He didn't think Velicia, his wife, knew about the vasectomy he had been doing all this time.

"Ve, that..," Ferdi was unable to finish his speech.

"Why? Why would Mas Ferdi marry me if he didn't want to have children with me? Did Mas Ferdi want to have a child with that woman?" 

Velicia's cry couldn't be dammed anymore. Her tears fell down swiftly drenching her cheeks.

"It's not so Ve. I'm not having an affair with anyone. You are all in my heart and I love you. Trust me Ve," said Ferdi, holding her hand tightly.

Velicia's cry became more and more. Even her shoulders were shaking from her cries.

"I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry. I'll explain everything. But please, calm down. Don't be like this because it can aggravate your illness. Please don't think about anything so that you can recover quickly" said Ferdi while hugging Velicia who was crying.

Velicia's cry grew louder. It seemed like she was spilling all her sadness, resentment and heartache through her cries.

Her body pushed her away from him. He still felt he could not forgive Ferdi just like that. 

Ferdi did not want to stay away from his wife. She persisted even though Velicia tried to let go of her embrace and keep Ferdi's body away from her.

"I'm sorry, honey. Say whatever I have to do so that you can forgive me" Ferdi said in a soft voice and a compassionate look at Velicia.
