"I didn't bring a gift."
Gerald inevitably offered a regretful smile.
She initially wants to prepare a gift for her grandmother but Mila stops her. He felt that the two of them could only give his grandmother one gift and of course he would look for the gift himself.

She just came to attend a birthday party to make Mila's grandmother happy. Who knew that Irene would purposely bring this up to make things difficult for her?

Although Gerald was only telling the truth, it seemed like his answer was a little disrespectful through the glasses of Mila's grandmother and the other people present.

“He even said that he is a rich second generation? I think this kid deliberately cheated Mila by lying and fabricating his own identity!”
“Well, people who have been poor for a long time have always been like this. They won't even remember their own last name once they get the money! He just won some money from the lottery. Does he have to go that far?”
