'Gerald, this is not the time to show off!' Leila thought in her mind, in a panic.
Although Leila had recently begun to change her opinion of Gerald, inevitably she felt angry at his words.

“Douglas, Leila! My cousin sold the house! He just opened a business recently and he hasn't been home from work at this hour! Since Gerald bought the house, why don't I call him? He can buy it from her! However, know, thirty thousand dollars is hardly enough for a down payment!” said one of Leila's friends who followed them.
“Go for it!” leila replied while slightly nodding.
For Leila, it was the equivalent of Gerald losing all his initial charisma. Whatever feeling he had for her, it was now six feet below him.
Moving back to Gerald, the only reason why he promised to give up his car and donate to Willie, was simply because he wanted to pay the debt on behalf of his father.
If it wasn't for his father, Gerald would be crazy if he was really bullied by someone so small as Willie.
It turned out that the house offered by Leila's cousin's sister was in a pretty good location.
Gerald himself had planned to buy several homes in Serene County so he could arrange housing and accommodation for some of his executives.
