"Oh, you'll see what I mean in a moment," Gerald said with a smile.
At that moment, several cars arrived at the entrance of the building.
When their door opened, out came Spencer—father Waylon—, Jarvan Wilson—deputy current minister—and Norman Lay—assistant manager of investment company. All of them had serious expressions on their faces.
Zack Lyle and Michael Zeke were also present, both looking equally upset.
If Gerald hadn't sent Zack a message telling him that there was a problem with the company, neither Zack nor Michael would have known that all of this was going on under their noses.
As it turns out, the profits of the company and the departments within it are all involved just because of a few people.
After hearing what Gerald discovered the night before, Zack called all the relevant people back to the office before interrogating them thoroughly throughout the night.
Under Gerald's orders, he has to take them to the office now. As the group approached the main entrance of the building, they saw a man and woman waiting outside.
“Why did you even tell me to come, Waylon? How do I know where your father is? I didn't even know that the company was in trouble!” said the woman, her tone slightly upset.
“Xella, can you not be like this? You must help me ... Damnit damnit! My dad's here!” answer Waylon while looking up.
Waylon's dad wasn't home all night. Most did not understand what was happening, all Waylon knew was that his father would go to the office early the next day.
He decided to wait for his father in the office to try and get a better understanding of his father's situation. Since he knew that Xella had been to the company headquarters a few times, he called her to accompany him.
As Spencer approached, Waylon ran up to him and realized that his father's face looked terrible.
“Dad, what's up?”
“Nak, just go home first. It's none of your business. Mr Crawford is here to see us!” spencer said sadly.
"…Huh? Mr Crawford? She's here in Serene County?” asked Waylon and Xella, both of whom were both shocked.
"You heard me," Spencer replied, nodding.
"Let's go. Mr Crawford shouldn't have waited for us much longer!” said Zaki.
"Yes, Mr. Lyle ..."
After the group got inside the building, Waylon said, “There must be something very wrong. I've never seen my father like that! I have to see for myself what happened!”
As for Xella, ever since Cindy's mother treated them to a meal last time, she didn't want to talk to Waylon anymore. However, he really wanted to know what Mr. Crawford's. That was the main reason why he had agreed to accompany Waylon.
Meanwhile in the investment marketing department, the atmosphere was somewhat lively.
Most of the employees stood up to see everyone walking pacing the hallway.
The people in question include those of higher management of the headquarters as well as some very important individuals.
Nobody knew what was going on and nobody dared to ask what was going on. It was a shocking sight, to say the least.
As the elevator doors opened, Zack stepped out before leading the small group into the printing room.
“...Hey, it's the general manager, Zack Lyle and next to him is Michael Zeke! Both are the right hand of the company!”
“And see who follows behind them. Isn't that Mr Wilson and Mr Lay? What the hell is going on? My God, the one behind them looks like Spencer Leets from Houseland Enterprise!”
“Is the company in trouble? All the higher management people and even the bosses are here! ”
"most likely. I wonder what gets us into hot water like that!”
Everyone who saw the group of people discussed the situation.
Mina herself was sipping a cup of tea while watching them.
To her great surprise, she saw several familiar faces coming out of the elevator. He immediately waved his right hand while shouting, “Xella! Right here!"
“Mina!” xella replied as she and Waylon walked towards him.
"What are you doing here? Do you know what happened? Actually, wait. Xella, is this your girlfriend?” mina asked while chuckling as she looked at Waylon.
“He didn't, but continue, I'll ask you the same thing. Headquarters called higher management for the meeting and we don't know what happened!”
"Well, all we can do is wait!" mina replied while shaking her head.
