Since when did he become the meanest kid in Mayberry?
“Yah...of course I've heard of him! But I only heard good things!” Gerald's face flushed in embarrassment.
“What do you mean by good things? Do you not know how the business works? Some time ago, Gerald invested a large amount of capital into the large company Mayberry. Wynn finished talking. Gerald lowered his fork spoon and rubbed his nose.

Gerald never thought too much about it and just did everything according to what his sister ordered.

In short, he was the reason why Wynn was so worried about his investment. It results in him ignoring Minnie, where she ends up losing her sight and letting her fall into the water.
Gerald could not help but smile bitterly.
“Hmph, just talk to me. Right, so Gerald, you're about to start your apprenticeship soon, aren't you? Is there a good place in mind?”
Now it's Wynn's turn to ask the question.
Gerald is honest and kind, but from the way he dresses and the cell phone he uses, Wynn knows that he comes from a poor family.

“I haven't decided where I'm going!” answer Gerald.
"It's okay. If you have nowhere to go, you are welcome to intern at my company. I'll double your salary, and as long as you follow me, I guarantee you'll be able to buy your own home on Mayberry within five years!”
Somehow, Wynn is tempted to keep Gerald by his side.
Their conversation was interrupted by Minnie. “Bu, what does Uncle Gerald need to buy a house for? Let him stay here with us! Once I grow up, I'll have my own house, so you can stay with Uncle Gerald!”
“Minnie, what are you talking about! How can you live with Uncle Gerald? Only married couples are allowed to live together, understand? ”
Wynn could only smile bitterly.
"Ooh, I get it now!"
Wynn turns his attention to Gerald, only to see him smiling silently.
Gerald nodded in response.
He wonders what he will think of her once he discovers that she is indeed Gerald who has screwed up his company!
However, from that conversation, he knew that he was somewhat responsible for the lethargy that the Wynn company faced. Gerald wouldn't just ignore it.
Minnie wiped her mouth with a napkin.
“Bu, I'm full! Can I pick up my toy from the bottom? I want Uncle Gerald to come with me!”
“What design! If you want a new toy, you have to wait until tomorrow. That's when I'll take you to the toy store.”
"No, I want Uncle Gerald to come with me!"
At this point, Minnie seems to like Gerald.
His hand gripped Gerald's arm tightly, refusing to let go.
“It's okay, I'll accompany Minnie to the toy store. I'll keep an eye on him, so don't worry!”
Once that's done, Gerald brings Minnie down with him.
As they are on their way, Minnie attaches herself to Gerald's side. Although he was happy, he pitied her a little. There is no doubt that Wynn is a strong woman, but no matter how strong she should be, she remains a woman, and Minnie, an orphan.
“You really like being with me, Minnie?” ask Gerald.
"Yes!" Minnie Thornton nodded loudly.
“Hm, why?”
“That's because you're a good person, unlike the bad guys who keep coming to my house. He hits mom, and sometimes he hits me too!”
"Huh?"
Gerald was startled by the little girl's words.
At first, she just wants to learn more about their family, hoping she can help Minnie and Wynn with more help. She must have never expected to hear such a thing from Minnie.
Those bad guys.. does that mean Wynn's social relationships are pretty complicated too? And who in their right mind would beat a kid like Minnie?
