The Invisible Rich Man's

The Invisible Rich Man's
Chapter 281

"Are you the general manager here, Miss Thornton?"

Gerald could not hide his surprised expression as he asked Wynn a question. Just by glancing at his attitude, he sensed the presence of his arrogant woman, and never had he felt an aura this strong.

"Why? Don't I look like that to you?”

Wynn sped away, grinning as he watched Gerald through the rearview mirror.

“Oh, by the way, you should stop calling me 'Miss.' It makes me sound old. Since I am only ten years older than you, just call me by my name!”

Wynn frowned, looking furious.

“Alright then, I won't call you Miss Thornton again!” Gerald nodded.

“Pfft!”

Wynn somehow seemed amused by Gerald's reply, and he burst into laughter.

Gerald initially wanted to talk about Wynn and his family, thanks to doubts that had long floated in his mind.

It makes Gerald wonder if Wynn raised the child alone.

But because such a topic would be too personal, Gerald ignored that thought.

Wynn stopped by the supermarket all the way home, and then came up with some big bags of groceries.

As Gerald— alleged Wynn's house is clean and tidy. After a simple tour around the house, there was no sign of men.

That little fact somehow made Gerald feel a little more comfortable.

Wynn then had to show off his cooking skills to him. In just a few minutes, he had prepared a plate of delicious dishes, far better than anything they had served at Wayfair Mountain Entertainment.

Anyone who marries Wynn in the future will be more than blessed to have such a wife.

Not to mention how he was very good at conversation as well.

After the dish was served, Gerald felt that Wynn had become slightly warmer, as if the two had known each other for a long time.

Wynn focused his attention on Gerald.

He is even more interested in Gerald's humble personality.

With a lot in common, their conversations quickly escalated as they naturally opened up.

“Gerald, you must be curious about Minnie's father, right?”

"Yes .. not really .." replied Gerald, a little awkwardly.

Wynn smiled as his gaze pierced through Gerald. "Thul? While I was cooking earlier, I noticed you were looking through my room. Are you looking for something?”

His deadly gaze made his heart slightly jump.

Wynn was not someone to mess around with, having observed Gerald's every move as he stepped into his home.

And every word he said was exactly what he had in mind.

The situation makes Gerald feel like an elementary school student, where all his thoughts are revealed.

“Hmph! Never think of hiding anything from me. Actually, I'm not hiding anything from you. Minnie's dad left us a long time ago, and we were just the two of us. Minnie usually spends her time in kindergarten while I work at my company. I'll take him to work over the weekend. Here's problem. Last week, a capital invasion by some nasty bastards forced many of Mayberry's small and medium-sized companies out of business. God, I'm so stressed!

“There was one time, where I was so bogged down about this that I slipped and Minnie accidentally fell into the river! You don't know how scared I am, and God knows how much I wish I had a man by my side to help me sort things out! ”

As Wynn downed a few glasses of red wine, her pretty face started to turn red, making her look even more sultry and charming.

Frankly, Gerald was always interested in women who were the same age or younger than him.

She had never really come into contact with an adult woman in her thirties.

Especially with a beautiful but temperamental woman like Wynn.

Gerald could not help but stare at the beautiful scene before him, his heart pounding like crazy.

Putting that thought aside, Wynn simply invited him to dinner as a good gesture, and Gerald felt a little awkward as he discussed the topic of looking for a man. He was not sure if he misunderstood his words.

“Nona Wynn, earlier you mentioned that some young men stormed the capital Mayberry. Now, what do you mean by that?”

“Oh, about that. No, it's nothing, but you've definitely heard of Mayberry's meanest man, Gerald Crawford, haven't you? He is the one who owns Mayberry Commercial Street!”

Wynn's tone was filled with anger.

“Hmph?”

Gerald almost died choking on a mouthful of potatoes.
