Harper did mention that it would be strange and awkward if only he and Hayley would pick up Hayley's mother, but if there was a group of them, it would seem even more exciting and fun.
Gerald was a bit surprised when he saw the other girls. One of them was Alice, the other who was staring at her was Jacelyn, and there was another girl she had never seen before.
“Hey, Harper and Gerald! There is someone I would like to introduce to you. This is my high school classmate, Mei. May's mother will come with my mother, and May will join us!” Hayley.
Mei is so beautiful. She actually knew how to dress herself up even though she was not as naturally beautiful as Alice, but when compared to Jacelyn, she was obviously much prettier.
“It's nice to meet you, May! I think we've met before.” said Harper.
May gently nodded her head and asked. "How are we gonna pick up Hayley and my mom later?"
“We will call Uber!” answer Harper.
"What's? An Uber? You don't have a car? I think Hayley's boyfriend will be like me too. Minimum requirement is to have a car!” Mei said cynically.
Although May and Hayley were childhood friends, it was clear that they did not interact much in school just by how Harper mentioned that they had only met once before.
It's just that they had no choice because their mother came to town together, and they had to pick them up together. It was normal for girls to compare what they had with each other especially when they came from a small town to study in a big city.
In fact, Hayley's roommate is very pretty, and that makes May even more jealous. He became very rude with his words.
“Harper has not bought a car. Your boyfriend did it?” Hayley wasn't too happy, but she kept asking him.
“Yes, he did. Only Audi A4L. At first, he wanted to get a Porsche 7 Series because all his friends were driving it, but I said the A4L was good enough. He only compromised because he loved me so much!” May crossed her arms as she glanced towards Alice and the others, looking very satisfied.
Jacelyn and the others didn't really care.
Hayley nodded her head. "Wow! Your girlfriend's friends are fine!”
"of course! Very different from friends Harper... don't discuss this further!” said Mei.
Just as he finished speaking, he looked into the school grounds and was shocked!
"My girlfriend and her friends are here!"
A white Audi A4L stopped in front of them and lowered the windowpanes, and a fashionable young man got out of the car.
“Jayce! You're finally here! Where are your friends?"
“I ask them to go and book a hotel in advance. After picking up Ms. Leny, we were able to take her to the hotel to refresh and have lunch there. After that, we will go out to play!”
As Jayce spoke, she saw Alice and Jacelyn standing behind Hayley.
"Hi's beautiful! I bet you guys are Hayley's friends, right? How are you guys doing?” ask Jayce.
