Gerald sighed and said, “Please stop crying. I'm gonna do it. Send me a location and I'll go see you!”
“You're the best, Gerald! I love you so much!" Elena immediately stopped crying.
Gerald only promised Elena to end the story. Since he was the one who helped her from the start, she had to take the responsibility of ending everything with him!
Gerald changes and he decides to call a taxi to meet Elena because it's quite late and there will be a lot of people. She meets Elena first and arranges a car from Elena's family to pick up her relatives at Mayberry Airport.
While at the airport, there were eight to nine people waiting for them. Some were middle-aged and some were young and beautiful.
“What's up, Aunt Larson? Didn't you tell Elena that we will arrive at ninety-thirty, it's been an hour! Why hasn't he come?”
“Patience, Carmen. Maybe Elena's busy. I'm calling them now. They should be there soon. Don't worry!"
“This is very different from the last time we were here. There are a lot of new attractions around! By the way, didn't you say Elena brought her boyfriend to visit you last time, Ruby? How's the kid? I don't understand what you mean when you say he's not good enough over the phone!” A woman who looked like Ruby Larson asked.
She's Harriet Larson, Ruby Larson's sister. He has moved north since his marriage. He is a manager at the Security Agency and he earns several hundred thousand dollars every year.
“Don't even mention that poor boy! Just thinking about it makes me so angry! That guy just won a few small lotteries and he's as arrogant as a peacock! He was just a poor brat to begin with and he dared to tease Elena! I wanted to introduce my best friend's son to her, Dickson but.. sigh!”.
Ruby was furious when Gerald got into the topic. He would never allow her to be part of the Larson family.
Ruby breathed. "He might be surprised by how disgusting that poor boy is!"
"Ha ha ha! Ruby, you've been so mean lately. How can you talk about a child like that? But I'd really like to meet this Gerald. It's hard to imagine how disgusting he is!” Scarlet laughed bitterly.
"of course! She can't even compete with all my niece's husbands here!”
There were three women and three men standing beside Harriet.
One of the girls looked like she was in her mid-20s and the other two girls were around Elena. They all looked good and fair but their eyes were fierce and arrogant.
They were all Elena's cousins and beside them was their girlfriends. The younger two are Harriet's daughter and the older is Harriet's husband's niece. They are all here for the holidays.
“How dare you say evil aunt, Mom! Is there anyone more cruel than you? My sister's ex-boyfriend almost committed suicide because of your humiliation!” Said the youngest and most fashionable girl.
“Don't talk to me like that, you little bastard! I'll slap you if you ever say that I'm evil again. I'm just being honest. He thinks he can marry my daughter with just a multi-million dollar company? Your own father's company is worth more than that!” Harriet sneered. He looked extra arrogant with those sunglasses.
Everybody laugh.
"Elena is here!" One of the girls pointed to the gate as Gerald and Elena walked towards them...
