“Hey, I checked your card transaction. You've spent all the money! Haha, good job! I heard from Zack that you've improved a lot. You even learn to use our company funds to invest in small companies! I'm doing a background check on the company you're helping. Are you in love with that girl? Did you get my brother-in-law? ” Jessica asks playfully.
It's true that Gerald has been in constant contact with Mila over the past few days and they've gotten a lot more fond of each other. Mila chatted with him about almost everything, and he was very happy to chat about anything with her.
However, the closer they got, the more Gerald was reluctant to take the first step to pursue him.
He did not expect his sister to know this.
"No, not me!" Gerald said bitterly.
“Alright, I'll stop teasing you. I'd just like to let you know that since you started investing, you reminded me of my plans to build some schools or shopping complexes in Mayberry. Why don't you try to do it for me? ” Jessica gives him an unforgiving challenge.
"What?! But Sister, I know nothing about investing!”
“Means I want you to learn. That'll be fine. Zack will form an amazing team to help you do this. You can take this opportunity to learn how to leverage assets. Otherwise, if you can't pass the final exam in the future, Dad won't.”.
“Tes what?”
Gerald felt something strange from his brother's words.
From the day her brother sent her money, she was acting strangely. He forced her to spend at least two hundred thousand dollars at a time, and then, he had her spend the entire three million dollars. It seemed like he didn't do it just because they had a lot of money.
He seems to have a motive behind this.
Judging from what he said earlier, he must have guessed it correctly!
"It's okay. That's not something you should know, and don't ask now. Just do as I say. From now on, focus on your investments. You can invest in any industry that you think will make a profit, whether it be business, education, entertainment, or anything else. You can invest on behalf of Mayberry International Inc., and they will give you funds.”
After Jessica reminded him to start as soon as possible, he hung up.
Gerald scratched his head helplessly.
He doesn't know anything about any of this.
That was Zack. He called in time.
“Are you busy, Mr Crawford? If not, can you come to the manor for a moment? Mr Harrison from the Trade Bureau, Mr Armstrong from the Education Bureau, along with many influential people in the city would like to meet you!”
“I'm not busy. All right, I'll go now.”
Gerald refuses to let Zack send a car to pick him up and just takes a taxi.
Gerald has always hoped to meet more people and build a strong network. This will help him improve himself.
As he sits in the car, Gerald thinks he's getting a SIM. Once he gets his SIM, he'll be able to drive his own car. He anticipated the arrival of that day.
Soon, he arrived at the manor on Mount Wayfair.
Gerald walked into the lobby casually.
"Sir, did you make an appointment?"
Unexpectedly, Gerald is stopped by the receptionist to enter.
The receptionist didn't think he was someone who could afford to pay the fee here.
However, the voice of the receptionist was very familiar to Gerald. Gerald shuddered and turned to look at him.
