Chapter 525
"What's up, Stuart?" ava asked, looking very worried.
“It's ruined!” said Stuart, his face pale. He then ran down the stairs immediately and Ava followed behind. He waited for her to finish with his phone call before slowly approaching her.
“Stuart…? What's wrong? Please don't scare me!” ask Ava, repeating the question. He was worried about every second that passed.
Stuart is not a man who only has appearances. He owns property in Mayberry and his parents are quite successful people as well. Basically, he had the whole package. He seemed to be naturally more brilliant than all of Ava's other colleagues in the company, which was one of the reasons why he liked her so much.
Ava always dreamed of marrying Stuart at Mayberry one day. If he's lucky, he'll be happy to work there too. Since his father was the principal of his High School, he was arrogant and cynical from a young age. All the crush he had to date was on a man who had a strong background and was extremely wealthy.
“This is bad, Ava. Remember the company we invested in Mr. Wilson's? Something's wrong!” stuart said in a panicked voice.
Ava knew immediately what she was talking about. The investment in the company has been ordered by one of the directors. Stuart, and Mr. Wilson was involved in the process. Since the company wants to earn more through investments, it is only natural that everyone in the company also wants more money. Money is money, after all.
So, they decided to invest in the company as well. They will operate on their own and report back to the main branch so that they can provide funds for investment purposes. The company has been given over eighty million dollars in funding, but only those involved know about the company.
Everything seems to be going so smoothly. The main branch had agreed to their funding request, and they thought that with all the investments in circulation, they would never be caught out. In addition, the company has provided double insurance because they use other local business names. There should be nothing wrong.
“I don't know what the higher-ups sucked in, but they just decided to check out our company! What's more, they seemed to know what they were checking! Unable to balance the financial statements, they suspect someone is committing fraud!”
Stuart had a panic attack. He knows that this is him.
“I don't know how either, but that's my smallest problem! The higher-ups are now investigating the director and Mr. Wilson. I will most likely go down with them too! Oh my God, what should I do? If the company decides to report us, we will be sentenced to jail!”
Seeing how panicked she was, Ava began to panic on her own. But suddenly he had an idea. Patting his own head, he explained, “Wait, there might be a solution to this! Why don't you use a scapegoat? They can take the full blame for you then all your problems should be solved, right? ”
“But who? It's serious business!”
Ava thought for a moment before flicking her finger. "I think I have a plan!"
While all this was happening, Gerald calmly filed the documents for the company.
Fay smiled when he saw her work. “You are very hardworking Gerald! You keep going, company after company! ”
Gerald simply smiled back before replying, “Well, I have to make sure everything is checked. Besides, I quite enjoy doing this and I also learned a lot!”
The main reason the company was investigated was because Ava was so boasting about Stuart's accomplishments. When Gerald learns that Nathaniel and Stuart are very close, he immediately checks out the project they are proposing.
After some investigation, he was able to detect some errors in their documents. One of Stuart's proposed companies even came under Waylon's father's business name.
It wasn't a big deal at first, but how would a fairly successful company not thrive?
