"Gerald, we're having a little meeting, and we're going to invite you with us!" Lilian rushed to his side and explained.
Everyone was now staring at Gerald, waiting for an answer.
It seems that being able to stand next to Gerald will help improve your status. Sharon looked at him, blank. Still doused with mixed emotions, he fell silent once again.
“Oke, have fun then! I still have a few things to deal with, so I have to leave now! ” Gerald smile.
Without hesitation, he then immediately walked out of the lobby.
Sharon was a little upset when she saw Gerald take off. He didn't even look at her. Disappointed, he felt like he could hear the crushing sound of his heart.
As Gerald left the lobby, he slowly walked towards the street and decided to call a taxi.
Yet another voice called out to him. “Gerald? Are you waiting for the bus?
A Camry then stopped in front of him, with a window below. It's Bianca, and next to it is Ava. And for the driver, it was a dashing man who looked the same age as Gerald.
Gerald later recalls that Bianca wanted to buy him dinner, but Ava insisted that he follow her. Ava, on the other hand, did not want to invite Gerald, which is why he ended up in the real estate center. Looks like they just finished dinner.
"I'm on my way home!" answer Gerald.
He peeked at Ava, who seemed to be busy with her phone. He pretended as if he didn't see it. Gerald didn't want to say hello, because he was the one who didn't like to admit it in the first place.
"Oh okay. Sorry again for today. Let's set the time tomorrow; I'll treat you to something nice!” Bianca smiled apologetically.
"Yes, it doesn't matter to me!" Gerald smiled back.
The driver glared at Gerald and left immediately
“Bianca, who is it? A friend?" The driver asked, looking jealous.
The main reason why Ava invited Bianca to dinner was because the vice-chairman of the team noticed her ever since she joined the team. He wanted to get to know her more through dinner.
However, the dinner did not go as they had planned, and the progress was rather weak.
Bianca only responded to him nonchalantly, which was why she seemed a little annoyed.
When he saw Gerald could talk to Bianca casually, Nathaniel Chandler became envious.
"He's my new partner, Mr. Chandler," said Bianca softly.
“Hah, haven't I mentioned it to you before? He's Gerald, my classmate at Junior High!” With a cold tone, added Ava.
“Oh, there it is. Then why didn't you say hello, Ava?” Thinking back to what Ava was talking about Gerald, Nathaniel felt much lighter in relief.
“He is not at our level, who cares honestly. Also, Bianca, please don't call him your co-worker. He's not in the marketing department. He's in logistics!” Ava then turned to Bianca.
“Pfft, shit! I'm just going to ask which team he's following. Logistics? Really true? Ha ha! Bianca, you should stay away from her from now on. You two are not on the same level. You're a white collar, you know that, right? ” tease Nathaniel.
Within the investment department, also known as Dream Investment Group, employees are separated into different teams. There are research teams, analysis teams, etc.
As for Ava, she is in charge of all the groups, making her the manager. In Ava's view, the logistics team was none other than a group of errands.
