Douglas called him, but Leila replied, “It's okay. You left without me. I'll find my own ride home!” With that, he hailed a passing taxi, and went—leaving Douglas dumbfounded on the side of the road.
He already knows what's wrong—and he blames Gerald for it!
Some time later, Gerald and Cindy finish eating together, and exchange contact numbers. He then called a taxi to drive her home.
Gerald stepped into the karaoke bar next door to take a look. Everyone was gone, and the bar was closed for the night.
He had not expected this to be such an important day. She's exhausted.
Calling a taxi for himself, he returned to the hotel where he was staying. As he stepped into his room, his phone rang again. It was the unknown caller who tried to contact him while he was at the restaurant earlier.
Who'sis that? Curious, Gerald received the call.
“Gerald, what happened? Why not lift?” It was a beautiful and feminine voice. Gerald was shocked when he recognized who was speaking.
“Giya? That's you calling?” excited, confused.
It has been half a month since the semester break began. Gerald spends most of his time in the hospital caring for Mr. Winters. Perhaps because of what happened on the first day of the semester break, Giya has not spoken to him since.
Gerald had thought that it was just as good. So, they cut off contact with each other.
He didn't expect to get a call from her.
“Hmph-deep. Surprised? I called you from the house phone in my room. So what should I do from you not contacting me all this time? Aren't we friends again?” Giya grumbling.
“It's not like that.. I'm just surprised you called me!” Gerald replied wryly.
"And what's wrong with me calling you?" asked Giya teasingly.
"Well, I'm not a rich man ..just a poor loser with no money!"
"That's right! Most girls say that about me!”
“Most women. I've never looked down on you.Even if there were, I thought more of you than all those rich kids. I know you only treat me like that for your boyfriend. If it wasn't for her, you'd be much better off for me, wouldn't you?”
"Something like that ..." Because there's nothing better to say.
To be honest, a girl like Giya, beautiful and charismatic, with a heart of gold.
But Gerald already has Mila. Although he admired Giya.
“Is there a reason you called me?” Gerald asked.
“I can't call you for no reason? Well then.. No, there's no excuse! Hang up the phone, huh?” Giya's tone was as sharp as a knife.
Doot…
As instructed, Gerald hung up the phone. A moment later, he called back.
"What the fuck? Why would you do that? You killed me, right here! Look, something's popping up, okay? Something big!”
"What's that?"
“I'll visit you tomorrow at your place—then I have to stay for a few days. Is that cool? Hello, Gerald? Can you hear me?"
"What's that?" Gerald couldn't believe his ears.
Stay a few days, in his place? How can he be cool with that? She talks to Mila every day, and with that note: She's talked about now—just her boyfriend is overseas right now—but he's going to live with another woman?
