"I'm sorry, I heard wrong!" gerald said with an awkward smile.
“Hah! Could he have thought the woman was calling Mr Crawford?” said one of the interviewees while chuckling.
"If we were more gullible, we'd think he was the real Mr Crawford Mayberry!"
Everyone there laughed out loud. Even the beautiful girl from before smiled. Gerald remained silent, knowing that he had embarrassed himself.
Jared then stood up and walked in for the interview. A moment later, he came out with a satisfied smile on his face.
“Hei Jared, what did they ask during the interview? Would you give us some tips? ”
Several people immediately gathered around him as soon as he stepped out.
“Oh, nothing special, honestly. All I did was talk casually, and I even managed to make them laugh! They even asked me when I could work! It really isn't something challenging!” jared said, his hand in his pocket.
The other man looked at Jared with jealousy. She must have gotten the only position reserved for men.
One by one, they each took turns to be interviewed.
Gerald stuffed his referral letter into the documents he carried. After being asked a few questions, he was also dismissed. All that is left to do, is wait for the results to be released.
Some of them left immediately after the interview. Jared himself was busy trying to start a conversation with the same girl from before.
"The result is out!" exclaimed the female assistant from before while holding the two application forms in her hands.
“Who's in?”
Several mutters of guesses echoed in the room.
“Congratulations to Miss Bianca Snow!”
Without a doubt, Bianca was definitely a very delicate beauty in the room.
“And for the male role, congratulations to Mr. Gerald Crawford!” added assistant.
"Wait, why wasn't I chosen?" jared asked, dumbfounded.
Everyone in the room was shocked as well. They all turned to look at Gerald.
Gerald as cold as cucumber. He had anticipated that he or Jared would be chosen, and it turned out that Gerald won. He sighed lightly while apologizing to everyone in his mind. He took his application form and, along with Bianca, entered the office to register their position.
“It's nice to meet you, Gerald. Since we'll be working together from now on, let's get to know each other better. Where do you live?" bianca asked, now it's just the two of them in the office.
“Oh, I live in Touin. It was in Serene County, ”gerald replied.
"Oh? How coincidental! I live in Serene County too! In particular, Fuenti was quite close to Touin!” bianca said with a smile.
The girl seemed to be quite a friendly person despite her extremely delicate beauty. He is also easy to talk to.

"Are the newcomers here?"
Both of them could hear the female voice coming from outside the office. He seemed to be talking to an HR assistant.

"Take me to them" the manager ordered.
Gerald could not help feeling as if he had heard the manager's voice somewhere before. Although his voice seemed bright and young, it still strangely felt familiar.
Could it really be him outside this office?
