“One of them seems to be his High School classmate. Why?" ask Tyson.
“Well, from the looks of it, they graduated from the police academy or they have undergone some military training,” Drake said as he smoked a few cigarettes.
“You two are really something.. It is amazing how much you can know about someone just by looking at them. Her name is Maia and she graduated from the police academy. He is now part of the police criminal department and he is quite good at his job!”
“Well, since he's your classmate, we'll just say this, Gerald. This friend of yours, with his comrades. They might get in trouble tonight!” tyson replied after getting the clarification he needed.
"…Huh?" Gerald's dumbfounded.
“When they rushed out early, I saw two people following them. Both of them had weapons strapped to the sides of their bodies, and they exuded an equal amount of murderous aura. I'm pretty sure that the duo that followed your classmates had undergone military training before. Worst of all being the worst, there is a possibility that they are both seasoned killers well!” tyson.
Gerald wouldn't believe such a claim if it wasn't Tyson who told him about it.
Previously, Gerald himself had seen Maia and the others rushing out but he did not see anything out of the ordinary. .
'Stay, who am I to compare myself to Tyson on such things' Gerald thought to himself.
Either way, Gerald was at least convinced that the two people mentioned were not here to play any game.
It was true that Gerald was not too close to Maia. After all, they barely made friends in high school. However, no matter what the problem was, they were still former classmates.
How could he have calmed down if he had not saved her after knowing that something bad would happen to her?
However, Gerald was convinced at the time that he did not yet want to reveal his identity. After all, keeping it a secret would allow him to do more things in the future!
He now had a plan in mind. After discussing the plan with Tyson and Drake, Gerald immediately rushed to the bar where Maia had left.
By the time he arrived, Maia and the others had already started drinking. They are now sitting in front of a poker table.
“Maya, look! Why is Gerald here?” said one of the girls while spitting out a mouthful of wine in surprise while pointing towards him.
"Why are you here?" maia asked with a frown on her face.
Previously, he had only invited her to join them for a drink as a mere sign of hospitality. He didn't expect him to actually join them.
“I just came here to warn you. Don't come out too late! That's dangerous! I've seen someone spy on you before! ” says Gerald.
For the time being, this was all he could say to tell Maia about what was going to happen.
"Huh? Someone watching us? Who could do that? I didn't see anything at all! Actually, who are you to say that someone is spying on us? If anything, you're the only one doing that!”
If the leader were to warn them, Maia and the others would definitely take the warning seriously.
If it was a warning from a close friend, he would definitely feel grateful.
However, as the warning came from Gerald, Maia felt it was a direct insult to her career. It is similar to a prey telling a predator what to do even though the predator will naturally know better.
That sucks to say the least.
However, Gerald had prepared for such a response even before he entered the bar. After hearing his reply, he simply nodded before leaving.
“Yes God, I hate him so much! Who does he think he is? Really show off!”
"I know? Is he the most hated guy in High School, Maia?”
The other girls also disliked Gerald because he was so nosy.
“I don't really want to talk about it.. Why did we even talk about it in the first place? Anyway Maddy, Tina, come with me to the toilet yeah!” Maia.
