The Invisible Rich Man's

The Invisible Rich Man's
Chapter 404

Cindy giggles.

"Of course!"

With a stiff face, Leila snapped, “Cindy! Have you forgotten what you came here to ask about? And, and.. weren't you so worried about Gerald, just a moment ago? Aren't you curious why he wasn't injured?”

“Oh, right! Gosh, in my excitement, I quite forgot. Gerald, tell us. How are you still intact? And are all those people outside of your people?”

“Indeed... how am I still intact?” Gerald replied foolishly.

"We asked you!" Leila frowned, glaring at Gerald.

Then Gerald clapped his hand on his forehead. “Ah, I remember now. Just as I was about to attack Louie, the visitors from the next door stormed into the room, and maybe they had some sort of grudge against Louie, as everyone started fighting in plain sight! In all that chaos, I managed to escape.” Gerald ended it with a laugh.

Leila was so angry that words could not be said.

Gerald was clearly lying. Sneaking away? Like, out of the karaoke bar... And to the restaurant next door, for a good place to eat? Who will believe you!

Ah, forget! He was too angry now, too agitated!

“Why don't you two stay for dinner too? This will be my deal, okay?” Gerald said kindly to Leila.

To be honest, seeing the delicious dishes that have been served, Leila felt tempted extraordinarily. All girls are greedy, right?

But with the circumstances between Gerald and him, how could he accept?

What about his pride?

“Hmph! No need—if we want to eat, we will order something ourselves!” Folding her hands, Leila glanced at Douglas.

Oh, how much he wanted to order something.

Douglas peeked into his wallet. A thousand dollars per person, he starts the night with one thousand five hundred for each person. He had taken the tab for karaoke before, for a thousand two hundred dollars. There was no way he could afford to spend a few thousand more for an impromptu party …

His family has influence—but not so rich…

"You ..." Leila also knew that it was beyond her means.

He breathed sadly. Douglas felt the same way.

They stood up to leave, but when they turned to leave, they ended up dropping a vase of flowers on the side table.

With a collision, the vase broke on the floor.

Ah, crap! Douglas frozen. A moment later, a servant rushed into sight, after hearing the voice.

"Sir, this vase ..." she started whispering.

“Only a bunch of bad flowers, barely worth seeing. I'll pay for them, okay? Here, a hundred. Is that enough?" Fishing for a hundred bucks, he put it on the table.

How's that cool?

He glanced at the woman. "Leila, let's get out of here!"

Suddenly fainting because of her, Leila nodded obediently.

“Wait a minute, Sir!”

"What's the problem?"

"It's an artistic flower arrangement... Out of a hundred dollars, it's worth a thousand and five hundred!" The waiter stated with a smile.

Douglas was paralyzed on the spot. "What's? A thousand five hundred?”

“True, Sir. One thousand five hundred dollars!” The waiter was beaming.

Douglas's face was a sight to behold. At first, he thought of throwing a hundred dollars away, and then boasted from there. He never expected that a bunch of flowers to be worth so much!
