When the door opened, Gerald could finally see the manager well.
He was walking behind the assistant when Gerald exclaimed, “Ava Anderson? Is that really you?”
Ava Anderson was Gerald's classmate during Junior High. She is the daughter of the principal and also one of the best students along with Gerald and Xeno. They have even participated in various competitions together.
Although they were quite close to each other back then, they no longer shared the same class when they entered High School.
The first few days after entering High School, Ava would still invite Gerald out for lunch as the two of them were not familiar with their new classmates. After school, he'll go after Gerald and they'll talk about how their day has passed.

“Thank you, but don't call me Avie from now on. You can call me Miss Anderson,” Ava replied a little coldly.
"Understood!" Gerald said while nodding.
"Assistant Valen!" ava said while closing the file. “I know we are short of two employees because this is a new team. However, we prefer quality over quantity so I will only choose one of you to help the team.”
At that moment, Bianca started to panic. Gerald and Ava knew each other so he must have been chosen!
Contrary to how she imagined it, however, Ava glanced at Gerald coldly before turning to look at Bianca. "Miss Bianca Snow, we need another woman here, so welcome to the team!"
“For you, Gerald..” said Ava as she watched from head to toe. “I know that the logistics team is still recruiting, so you have to help them. You may need to shop around each department and do tasks for them!”
