The Invisible Rich Man's

The Invisible Rich Man's
Chapter 192

His face was covered in dirt, the little girl was talking to the boy beside her.

“Maybe they haven't started class—that's less!” The boy wiped his snot. “I also want to go!”

Another slightly fat boy said, “You need money to go to school. We don't have any money. Ms. Queta has already done some work to feed us. We can't ask for it anymore!”

"I'm hungry!" the little girl whines.

"I'll get you some bread in a minute!"

“Why are you bastards crowding the gates? Scram!" A security guard came out, shouting furiously.

The three children jumped in fear.

The guard is in his fifties, the kind you might find at a construction site.

The children looked frightened by him, and almost ran away—but they kept looking at the school, only a little longer…

Gerald spoke up: “They just looked. That's good, isn't it? Not that you paid for this school.”

“Son, I didn't say anything about you coming in early, but don't air with me! You don't have this school more than me.. Now, get lost!”.

The man was red and bluffing. He obviously had a few beers for his lunch his breath smelled of alcohol.

"Here, buy yourself a real drink." With a small smile, Gerald reached into his wallet and threw him a hundred dollars.

This money is not offered as a compliment. Gerald made a note recommending the man to be fired later. A bad old drunk in charge of security, probably hunted by a friend at the company.

"Yes! Alright alright! Thank you very much, man!” Then the guard left.

Gerald knelt down and smiled at the children. "You kids want to go to school too?"

The girl in the middle nodded excitedly. "I'm ready!"

The other two were more cautious and watched him speechlessly.

No one understood that feeling better than him.

That was why he could not resist the urge to do something for them.

“Ada is hungry? How about I take you guys to lunch?"

"MST. Queta says we should not talk to strangers—and we absolutely must not follow them anywhere!” The two boys stepped out in front of the girl.

Gerald laughed and nodded. “Alright... Then I'll buy some stuff and bring it here!”

With that, he ran to KFC across the street and bought a stack of burgers, fried chicken, and drinks.

“You don't have to follow me anywhere. Just take it and eat it. Besides, I will help you go to school too!” Gerald patted the girl on the head and handed them food.

"Thank you!" Children's eyes become bright.

As they received the food, they began to devour it.

"Why did you just eat something he gave you?"

It was the melodious sound of a woman's voice—-fun, yet also anxious.

“I can't apologize enough, sir. How much is all that food? I'll pay for it!” the woman was rattling nervously.

However, when Gerald saw who he was, his eyes shone.

"That's you!"

Gerald recognized him immediately.

He met her at Homeland Kitchen a few days ago. Jane had scolded him— while he was still working for them.
