Chapter 597
Aiden's actions caused a commotion, and several people present turned to look at Gerald's booth. This included the middle-aged man from before, although he did not say anything.
Tops who set up regular bars or karaoke here, usually have some sort of background or major influence backing them up. It was not uncommon for people to try to create chaos in these places, which explained why the middle-aged man did not care much about the three.
While all this was happening, a girl sitting in a cubicle on the other side of the bar asked, "Eh, isn't that the man from before?"
After hearing the commotion that had just happened, the girl peered to see what was going on, and she was shocked when she saw Gerald.
"Huh? You know one of those people, Tina?” ask the other girl who shared the booth.
There were nine other young men and women sitting in the same booth, and the group came to the bar for fun.
"I'm ready!" tina replied while nodding.
One of the men in the group coughed before saying somewhat jealously, “Since Tina is now working in the police force, she must be in touch with more people. Tell us Tina, what exactly is the background of the group leader? He seems to be full of himself! ”
His jealousy was justified because everyone in the bar went there for fun. In a place full of handsome men and beautiful women like this, literally everyone wants to be the center of attention and be able to act haughty in front of others. However, not many people can actually do it right.
Now, however, a rare reckless individual had appeared, so all attention was naturally on him. Men who have spoken before are socially obliged to ask about him.
“I'm actually not that close to him. I just found out about him this morning when I was handling a case. He's a high school classmate of one of my colleagues,” replied Tina.
The colleague in question was of course, Maia. Tina even remembers teasing Gerald that morning, asking if he had a girlfriend. Naturally, he was just playing around back then.
However, their meeting this morning seemed so far away now.
There are many mysteries surrounding Gerald, and both Tina and Maia are curious about his true background.
But eventually, they learn that the threat he has been warning is the real one. Although they were facing a life or death situation for not taking her words seriously, the three girls present in the bathroom managed to come out unscathed that morning. They were saved by a very strong man.
However, they did not know who had saved them. Therefore, Maia and Tina are interested in solving the mystery behind the mysterious and powerful figure.
Their best guess is that Gerald's warning has been entrusted to him by an extraordinary individual. From what Maia could have guessed, Gerald was only helping the strong man.
Tina on the other hand, did not rule out the possibility that Gerald was secretly the strong man in question. After all, she was Maia's classmate in High School and she even knew about those hitmen before they even showed themselves! He must be the most suspicious person.
Maia did not buy that theory at all. He claimed that it was impossible because he believed Gerald did not have such a great ability.
Although he initially wanted to call Gerald to discuss the case, his superior had moved the case to the other party, so the two of them were not allowed to investigate the case any further.
As for the celebration party that had stalled that morning, it was agreed to be continued the next day. During both of her trips to the bar, Tina could not have any fun. Since his other friends invited him to the bar tonight, he took the opportunity to finally be able to drink in peace.
Meeting Gerald here was very unexpected. Moreover, he seemed to be making a messy scene here. Seeing all this unfolding before her eyes made Tina even more curious than before.
“But why is he acting so arrogant? There were only three of them yet they seemed to want to make trouble here! Didn't you ask your colleague about his background? ask another girl.
“I know about his background. In high school, he seemed to be very poor and nothing seemed to change since then. When I met him today, he was drinking alone at the bar. To think that he would come again at night! I originally thought that he was a pretty honest person, but upon closer inspection, he seemed to be just some sort of bastard! Huh! He doesn't have a good prospect, that's for sure!” answer Tina.
“Yeah, shit! How dare he to come here and act arrogantly even though he is a poor person. Boss, Hugh, it's gonna destroy him! He is quite strong and influential along this path!” said one of the men at the booth.
"He's right. Someone else came to the bar about three months ago to make a big mess. He was then immediately destroyed by Hugh, ”plus another man.
