Victory in Life
Chapter 144

"Gift?"

Mitch was dumbfounded and inevitably laughed out loud as if he was made to laugh by Jasper.

"Hey poor man, do you know who I am? You're talking to me about gifts?"

"Well then, call it. What's your bet?"

"Very simply, the person who lost the match would crawl one round around the hall of the stock exchange!" jasper said coldly

As soon as Jasper said it, Henry, who was already impatient to see Jasper do anything, was surprised - let alone Mitch.

For rich brats like them, self-esteem was much more valuable than money.

Jasper's bet was like eroding Mitch's dignity and pressing him hard against the ground while rubbing him.

The same principle is applied. If Jasper loses the bet, then he should not come again to Harbor City in the future.

However, at the time, regardless of what bets Jasper said, the Law brothers were not in a position to make any comment.

As for Mitch, he glared at Jasper as if he wanted to start a new one and get to know the person in front of him again.

Mitch then smiled coldly and said, "I really don't know where a Mainlander like you got your confidence from."

"Well, since you insist on digging your grave, then I'll give you that chance."

After saying so, Mitch laughed coldly and continued saying to Anna, "Anna, today, I will prove to you with my ability that this Mainlander named Jasper is just a fraud. Wait until the afternoon. He'll crawl one round around the stock exchange."

Anna looked at Mitch and said calmly, "You make me feel like this is all ridiculous."

Mitch's expression showed that he was dumbfounded. He clenched his teeth and glared at Jasper before adding coldly, "Regardless of what underhanded methods you used to deceive Anna, you Mainlander, I'll teach you a lesson you won't forget."

After saying so, Mitch raised his head and looked at the giant screen.

Jasper shrugged and sat on the sofa. He took the ice cola served by the stock exchange and drank it happily. Then, he picked up the magazine and started flipping through it while reading it in earnest.

Henry also felt anxious and came to say, "You didn't pick stocks?"

"I've chosen it" Jasper looked at the magazine and said calmly.

Henry felt that his intelligence was slowly decreasing when compared to Jasper.

"Why can't I understand a single thing Jasper said?"

"Before, didn't I constantly look at the screen? At that time, I had already chosen some stocks that I wanted to invest in. Or, do you think, why would I want to play around with his childish play?" jasper said faintly.

While he was talking, Jasper changed to another magazine again... Previously, it was a magazine about some gossip within the entertainment industry and had no business value at all. Therefore, he felt disgusted about it.

"Do you have confidence?" Anna asked silently.

"There is no 100% guarantee on the stock market" Jasper said with a smile. Seeing Anna frowning, he then comforted her. "But don't worry. To be sure, I won't be the one crawling around the stock exchange later in the afternoon. I have full confidence in this matter."

Anna was a little relieved when she heard Jasper say that.

Mitch glanced at Jasper coldly and sneered.

According to him, Jasper only pretended to be arrogant and mighty at this time when in fact, Jasper must have been very worried. Everything he did now was just to act hard.

However, Mitch is not at all bothered because when the results come out, he will be able to enjoy seeing Jasper crawl around the stock exchange.

'How dare a lowly trash dare to be so close to Anna?!'

Suppressing the jealousy that was flowing within him, Mitch called in a manager from the stock exchange.

"I've chosen my shares. Do you have a team that will process trades manually? I guess a Mainlander like you wouldn't have a team like that. Do you want me to lend you some people?" Mitch looked at Jasper and said with disdain.

People with status like Mitch would not personally operate their own accounts and trade stocks.

He would usually come up with a strategy, then give his orders. Then, there will be a team of professionals running Mitch's orders.
