Victory in Life
Chapter 673

On the way back to the hotel, Julian turned to look at Jasper. He asked as he waited for the traffic light to turn green, "Should we ask Henry for help with this, Jasper?"

Jasper. "Why should I ask for his help? He was busy working on amusement park projects every day. The fact that she actually put her mind to work was quite rare, so I didn't want her to lose focus."

Julian scratched his head. "I just think it's best to have a rich heirs deal with other rich heirs like Marcus. I'm sure Henry has a repertoire of methods to deal with it."

Jasper smile. "Why bother? Afraid I'd lose to him?"

Julian smiled foolishly, "Of course not, Jasper, there's no way you're going to lose. I just don't like Marcus' attitude, and I think Henry's gonna have fun stepping over him."

"Henry won't do anything even if he comes. After all, the Marcus family had been doing business in Reed City for decades, their influence here had surpassed that of any other family."

"It's something we actually have to deal with on our own."

Julian was a little confused by what Jasper meant by this, but he didn't think much of it. "I don't understand things like this, but if they play dirty tricks, I'll hit them hard.

The upper-class members of Reed City did not seem to care about the fact that Jasper had come to invest in the City.

After all, Jasper's fame mainly centered around the Southeastern Province, and Reed City was thousands of kilometers away. There's no way the story of Jasper's exploits got here.

Even so, the fact that someone dared to oppose Marcus did spread like wildfire throughout the city.

The city of Reed could be considered Marcus's territory, and almost no one dared to offend him. People would pay someone else to shut up if it meant Marcus wouldn't look in their direction.

This was the first time in many years that someone dared to go against Marcus.

This news had caused an uproar among the upper classes of Reed City.

When it came to the conflict between Marcus and Jasper, no one bothered to bet on Jasper.

At the time, Jasper had received a notice from Chad's office at the hotel.

The auction will start at eight tomorrow morning at the City Hall meeting room.

It is only natural that the City Government does not want to make reality so striking, so they also call two other real estate companies to tender, for the sake of formalities.

Nonetheless, everyone knows that the main competition is between JW Electronics owned by Jasper and Marcus owned PT Fortune.

At the same time, in the hotel's deluxe suite, Marcus was busy smoking and playing poker with some of his friends when he received the notice.

Smoke crept around the room and Marcus narrowed his eyes as the smoke disturbed his eyes. He looks at his cards and closes them after seeing that he has a bad card. Marcus growls, "Huh. Seriously yes, it looks like my name no longer has the same power here in Reed City."

The other three young men who played with him were also the sons of wealthy heirs like Marcus. Their father and grandfather are friends with Marcus and they are also business partners who have worked together for many years.

Their relationship is an extension of their parents and purely comes from personal relationships. It was a tightly-knit group made up of people who had similar interests.

The man sitting opposite Marcus was about a hundred and ninety centimeters tall, a sturdy and burly man named Ned Adkins. Ned sneered, causing a ferocious smile to appear on his brownish and stern face.

Then Ned lazily closed his card. "It's not the first time we've dealt with a stupid outsider. Just let us know if you need money, or tell us how we can help."

"We all have shares in your company. Your problem is our problem too."
