Victory in Life
Chapter 660

Emerson looked surprised for a split second before he rang the call bell.

"Call the head of the patent department over here!."

A few seconds later, an elegantly dressed woman in her 40s rushed to Emerson's office.

"This is Mr. Laine from Somerland. He wanted to buy half of the patents the company had for MP3 players. Is there such a thing?"

Jasper felt a little dissatisfied when he heard Emerson's question.

He has rushed to places to patent an MP3 player and has almost used all his tricks and contacts.

However, at Sentel Corporation, the MP3 player patent does not even need to be remembered for these higher-ups.

The woman was an expert in her work and soon began to explain how the patent came about.

After understanding everything that had happened, Emerson told him to leave before he smiled at Jasper. He said, "Sorry about that, Mr. Laine. We have tens of thousands of patents registered on behalf of the company, which is why I can't possibly remember them all."

"I understand."

Jasper, who thought that JW's journey was still long, replied calmly.

"I now understand the situation. You heard it too. The law department has been preparing to sue the patent office and Damond Golding. After all, this was also a loss for the company."

"I see, that's why I'm now offering you a way to get rid of it once and for all" Jasper said with a smile.

"By buying? Forgive me for being frank, but there is no point in buying only 50% of the ownership for not being entitled to any priorities, Mr. Laine. Even Sentel Corporation has to resolve this situation through legal means or have you made some sort of deal with Damond Golding, Mr Laine?"

As president of the Sentel Group, Emerson's thoughts are sharp and agile. It only took him a few minutes to come up with a hypothesis that was very close to the truth.

Jasper did not plan on hiding the problem because the other party would find out sooner or later. He took the contract and showed it to Emerson.

"I've asked Damond to sign it. He had no reason to refuse such an offer. However, you can think of it as preparing your bait before fishing," Jasper said with a smile.

Emerson laughed and said, "Thank you for your honesty, Mr. Laine. You don't have to tell me about this, but I can feel the sincerity of your actions."

"To be honest, I'm happy to see Damond suffer a loss as well. After all, he was considered a traitor to the company."

"You're the one who kicked him out of the company during the PHK that happened when you suffered an economic crisis, and yet, you call him a traitor."

Jasper muttered sarcastically to himself but put on a surprised expression.

"So, do we have a deal?"

Emerson smiled and said, "In theory, there should be no problem. After all, the company is not interested in doing much with MP3 players, and it will take a long time to file a lawsuit. If you're interested, Mr. Laine, we'll be happy to sell you half of our patents.

"Since you are Miss Sylphie's friend, you will be given special treatment with respect to the price. How about 20 million US dollars for purchase?"

To be honest, 20 million US dollars is very cheap.

However, for Sentel Corporation, they will get 20 million US dollars for free.

After all, all Sentel Corporation had done to obtain this patent was to provide some equipment. The thought process and skills that went into this all belonged to Damond Golding. All they have to do is sit back and enjoy the benefits it brings.

Jasper did not think too much into the matter and immediately agreed.

"Agreed."

Emerson smiled as he stood up and said as he shook Jasper's hand, "You're a very honest man, Mr. Laine. I will arrange for the relevant information to be prepared as soon as possible."
