Victory in Life
Chapter 454

The plane landed smoothly at the Provincial Airport.

Jasper hasn't told anyone about his return this time. In a way, he doesn't think Wendy needs to travel to the airport to pick him up. On the other hand, he wanted to give Wendy a surprise as well.

Jasper took a taxi and went to a villa in Thornton Park. Jasper's home.

"Mom, I'm back" said Jasper tired as he entered the house.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier? Quick, go rest." Sally came to the door and took Jasper's luggage from him. When he put it on the side, he asked warmly, "Have you eaten yet?"

"I've just returned from the Swallow capital. I ate on the plane" Jasper smiled as he replied.

Sally immediately turned around and walked towards the kitchen when she heard him. He said, "That must mean you haven't eaten a full meal. I'll cook you noodles."

Jasper knows his mother's personality. He would nag her nonstop if he did not eat that bowl of noodles, which was why he did not bother to stop her.

Jasper followed Sally into the kitchen and stood at the door, asking, "Where is dad?"

"His distant relatives died, so he went to attend the funeral. She won't be back for two more days" Sally replied while busy in the kitchen.

Jasper smile. "Are you used to living here?"

"It's okay here, but I don't know that many people are getting a bit lonely" Sally sighed as she spoke.

"Even though I know some tenants my age around here, they have to take care of their grandchildren and don't have much time to talk to me and

eliminated boredom. I felt so envious when I saw their grandchildren. They're so small and cute."

There was a hidden meaning in Sally's words.

As he spoke, he glanced at Jasper, trying to convey what he did not say with words.

Jasper said with great difficulty, "Then, you should continue to be envious. I don't plan on having children anytime soon."

Besides, he's not even that old. He has not yet begun to consider marriage, let alone children...

Sally pouted as she said, "You're not that young anymore. Wendy is a good girl. You two should hurry up and tie a promise and have a child soon. I can take care of the kid while you two do whatever you need. Isn't that a good idea? How long are you gonna keep this up?!"

"Are you going to wait until I'm so old that I can't take care of the kids anymore?"

Jasper replied, "It's okay. We'll get the nanny."

Sally almost threw her spatula over Jasper's head. It's bullshit! Do you think a nanny can take better care of a child than me? I'm the kid's grandmother. How can I let someone else take care of my granddaughter?"

Jasper smiled bitterly. "We haven't even started talking about it. I'll try my best, all right..."

After he devoured his mie, Jasper immediately jumped out of his chair and ran out the door. He crept into the villa where Wendy lived.

Jasper plans to give Wendy a surprise, but she doesn't expect Wendy to be home today.

He went to Dawson's.

"My dad's blood pressure has been a bit high lately and he's not feeling well. I came to take care of him." Wendy chuckled as she brought the phone to her ear and spoke to Jasper.

"You stupid boy. You should have told me you were going home."

Jasper sat in the empty villa and sighed as he said, "I want to surprise you ... Is your dad okay?"

"He's fine. Doctors say it's caused by extreme stress and an irregular sleep schedule. He just needs to rest" said Wendy softly.

Jasper massaged his forehead while saying, "He's been very busy lately. Supermarkets had this new big expansion, and he was also in charge of the real estate business. I'll hire some people to help him when I have time so he can relax."

"I've talked about it before, but he refused. He said he did not trust anyone to take care of business while it was still in its early stages. He did everything himself. Besides, I think there are some problems going on in the Southface River project," Wendy sighed as she said.
