Victory in Life
Chapter 575

Dawson replied, "Alright then. Remember to call me if you need help."

Jasper nodded. "Good."

Putting down the phone, Jasper's expression turned slightly dark.

False positives are better than false negatives. Jasper never had the habit of being comfortable, so he would always be careful and keep his guard up.

The news from Penelope coupled with the results of her investigations from various places has strengthened such a case.

"Terence himself has ulterior motives as well as a mysterious person supporting him."

"To do this, Terence even tried to pull Darrel into his plan."

"But the fact that Terence had to persuade Darrel meant that Darrel didn't know what was happening or had yet to fully join their side."

"So who's the mysterious mastermind behind all this?"

"It's dinner time, Jasper."

His mother's voice rang out from downstairs, breaking Jasper's daydream.

Exhaling softly, Jasper nodded and walked out of his study. He decided that he would observe a little longer before he made a plan.

At least now he had a target to look out for and that was Terence Laine.

If the other party wanted to deal with him, then it was only a matter of time before they made a move.

At the same time in an ordinary district in Faith Province.

Darrel's brows tightly clenched as he looked at Terrence's nervous expression with a deep look. He spoke in a heavy tone, "Are you crazy, Terence? Or did someone drugging you with something? How can you be so blind?"

Terence snorted and replied, "You're stubborn here, Darrel. What's so good about Jasper? Why are you so eager to follow in his footsteps?"

Terence sneered. "That's just him being generous to you. Don't you want to make your own money?"

"Mr Hanks has already said that he is willing to give you double what Jasper gave you. You just have to nod your head and agree! You'll get more benefits after all this is done, so why are you still hesitating?"

Darrel replied in annoyance, "It was just an empty promise. Plus, do you know how this would have sounded to our relatives if this news had spread? Do you want to lose all respect?"

Terence spat on the ground and replied, "Don't talk nonsense about our relative, Darrel. Didn't you see? All these relatives do is look down on people, they don't care what happens to you at all. All they care about is whether you're broke or rich. If you're rich, then they'll praise you every day and everything you do is right."

"Think about. This relative always said that we would both be extraordinary people in society. Our family's better than Jasper no matter how you look at it. Before this, no one had looked at Jasper with respect."

"But what about now? Each of them spoke of how genius Jasper was and how extraordinary he was. I'm tired of all this, but here's the truth. This is the truth!"

"The hardest part of all this is that even if you manage to open your hotpot restaurant, Darrel, all you get is 10% of the stock. Jasper didn't even have to do anything and he got the longer end of the stick! Wh why? All that everyone has said up until now is how good Jasper is, but will anyone remember how much effort you've put into this?"

Terence's words made Darrel's expression change.

While his words are harsh, Darrel must admit that his sister is telling the truth.

"We just need to show them that we're the truly amazing people in this family, Darrel. Jasper was just someone who became rich because he was lucky. He has no right to step on us."

"In addition, we are brothers. Why did I set you up?"

With Terence's persuasion, he sees Darrel will agree.

Darrel stood up in frustration and spoke, "Enough. My mind's screwed up right now, so we'll talk about this again in a few days."

Terence's gaze turned grim as he watched Darrel leave.

He'll be devastated if he doesn't manage to persuade Darrel. Zayden wouldn't forgive him if that was the case.

That's why Terence decided that he would do everything to persuade Darrel, no matter how.
