Victory in Life
Chapter 583

"Let's ignore whether I'll get something out of this or not, did you know that the burning that caused great property losses and injuries was a grave crime? did you know that you'd get at least ten years in prison?"

Terence's expression changed drastically hearing Jasper's words, and he replied guiltily, "I don't know what you're talking about! you're telling me that you brought me here so I can hear you talking about the law?"

"The fire you lit cost me 100 million Somer Dollars, more than a dozen workers were seriously injured and there are still some workers in the emergency room as we speak, do you think that denying you any knowledge of the matter would set you free from legal consequences?" Jasper looked at Terence and asked.

Terence's heart was pounding, and his expression turned fierce as he spoke, "I don't know what kind of nonsense you're talking about here! what does the burning construction site have to do with me? don't think that being rich gives you the right to slander me as you please!"

"Huffa..."

Darrel sighed and looked at Terence disappointedly. "Stop lying, Terence. Jasper knows everything, be more sincere and I'll ask him to let you go, I can't help you even if I want if you continue to be so stubborn like this."

Terence was furious. "Darrell Laine! how dare you help an outsider rather than your own brother? what are you saying here?!"

Darrel replied desperately, "I heard your phone call last night. I know that you're the one who lit the fire, don't you think you left a clue? Jasper's been watching you for a long time, so will you stop being so stubborn once?"

Terence was struck by those words, and he looked at Jasper in disbelief. Deep fear dyed his eyes.

"I. I don't know what you're talking about!"

Even to the end, Terence remained unwilling to speak.

He was well aware that if he admitted to burning, there would be dire consequences coming at him.

He wanted to join Zayden, but that didn't mean he was willing to go to jail for it.

"I can choose not to hold you accountable, but you have to tell me who told you to do it" Jasper said.

Terence had a painful expression of conflict on his face, but he still did not reply.

Since the plan was not to warn the opponent, it was inappropriate to hand Terence over to the police.

Doing so would only force the mastermind Jasper was looking for to hide even deeper.

"Let me talk to him alone, Jasper," Darrel suddenly spoke.

Jasper made no sound and stood up to exit the room with Julian behind him.

When they were outside, Julian turned to Jasper. "I know some tricks that can cause tremendous pain, Jasper, people like Terence have quite weak wills."

Jasper laughs. "Let's wait a little longer first, the best case scenario, Darrel managed to persuade him to speak, if it doesn't work, then we'll use your way."

Jasper had no intention of eavesdropping on the two brothers' conversation, but loud screams and constant scolding came from the study.

It continues for 20 minutes or so before the door of the workspace opens again.

Darrel, who looked exhausted, walked out and turned to look at Jasper. "He wants to talk now."

Upon returning to the study, Jasper saw Terence now looking soulless as he looked at him with deep hatred.

"I don't know what dope you're using for my brother so he's so loyal to you, Jasper, but don't forget that I'll never respect you!"

Jasper replied calmly, "I don't need your respect, I need a name."

"Zayden Hank!"
