Chapter 536
John came to pick up Jasper the next day, and the two arrived at Ascendas Investment.
Ascendas Investment occupies the entire top floor of an ordinary commercial building.
"Kai's Accendas Investment really looks professional."
Jasper told John while glancing at the beautiful woman at the front desk.
John pursed his lips. "Kai doesn't like to be underestimated, so he tends to waste his money on formalities like this."
Kai then walks out of his office to greet the two of them.
"Laine, John. Everything is ready, should we start?"
Jasper glanced at the time, realizing that it was currently 07:40. There was still another 20 minutes until the market opened, so he nodded and followed Kai into his office.
In the office, everything that is not necessary has been removed. All that was left was a large office desk with several computers on it. The appropriate software has been launched.
"Do you have any funds?" Jasper sat down at the computer and asked.
Kai immediately replied, "All 800,000 dollars are in the account."
Jasper was just about to speak when the office door was kicked open from the outside loudly.
Everyone in the quiet room was dumbfounded, and Jasper's eyes turned to see a creepy-looking middle-aged man enter the room.
"Samuel!" Kai shouted in surprise.
Samuel entered the room and mocked Kai. "Never thought I'd come and find you myself, would you, Jones?"
Samuel just sneered. "You reneged on your promise and now I have to cancel my entire plan. Of course, I'm asking for compensation from you!"
"Added again..."
Samuel glared at Jasper. "I want to know what kind of help you're getting here. Someone even better than me, huh? Someone who makes you beg like a fucking dog, huh?"
"A young man? Kai, you have a brain. You'll be cheated before you know it, fool!" Samuel glanced at Jasper once more and turned to sneer at Kai.
Jasper frowned. "Can you get rid of unnecessary people, Kai?"
Samuel's expression changed as he pointed at Jasper. "I don't care where you're from, you punk, but I'll kill you if you dare to help Kai today!"
Jasper leaned back on the chair and spoke with great interest, "Now you're making me curious. How exactly are you planning to kill me?"
Samuel sneered. "At least wonder before you start doing business here. Do you even know who I am? I'm Samuel Ray! How dare you steal my business from me?"
Kai's expression became furious. "Samuel! you have taken advantage of my need for help, wanting to take a 30% commission regardless of whether I make a profit or a loss. Since I've decided not to work with you, I'd appreciate it if you were more polite!"
Jasper finally understood why Samuel was so angry. He said calmly, "Commission 30%. Are your hands made of gold, Master Ray? Why is the cost so high?"
Samuel's expression became furious. "Don't anyone ever teach you the rules, young man? How much I charge for commission is my problem. But at least you should consider your own skills before you dare to steal my client."
Jasper looked at Samuel meaningfully and spoke calmly, "I may not be very capable, but I must be more skilled than you."
"You really have courage for a young man!"
Samuel scoffs at Jasper's claims.
