Victory in Life
Chapter 468

As soon as Jasper got into the company, he invited Sean and a group of executives who rushed from the construction site to gather for a meeting.

"Mr Laine, we originally approved the cement shipment with Hero Company this morning. However, they did not send the shipment. We tried to contact them by calling them, but they told us that the manager who handled us was on a business trip and could not be contacted for now."

Someone in charge stood up and announced. There was an unpleasant expression on his face.

"Hero Company is one of the largest large-scale cement suppliers in the country. How is a single manager responsible for handling the entire shipment? What about other people?" ask Jasper.

"We can't contact them. In the meantime, the managers we managed to contact after several tries to tell us that the company is facing a production shortage at the moment. Therefore, they have limited all their distribution channels, and do not know when they can distribute inventory to us"

Jasper tapped his finger at the table. His expression was grim and gloomy. "Is there a problem with the payment of our goods?" She asked.

The person in charge reported, "There is absolutely no problem with the payment. We adhere to the contract strictly. We promise two delivery of goods, and pay the first shipment of inventory after the third shipment is delivered to us. No problem until now."

Jasper nodded and said, "Then, it's not about money. What about steel supplies? Is there a problem with that too?"

Another executive sighed. "The situation at Stellar Company is very similar. We were unable to contact the person who handled our supplies. However, the Stellar Company sent us an official letter by fax" he said.

"The letter says that some boilers at Stellar Company are under maintenance, so they are currently shut down and cannot be used for production. They weren't sure when they could continue to distribute the supplies either."

"That's fine. There are no problems with this payment either. We meet all the criteria mentioned in the agreed contract according to market conditions."

Jasper set his sights on the man in charge of procuring materials for the Southface River project.

The person in charge, who was in his forties, did not dare to look Jasper in the eyes at all. His forehead was beaded from sweat. With a bitter expression on his face, he said, "Not only are there problems with the supply of cement and steel, but the supply of paint, thermal insulation, waterproof concrete, bricks, etc, stone and most of our building materials have almost all been stopped."

Whatever the reason, the procurement manager will be the first to take responsibility if there is a problem with the supply of building materials.

The procurement manager felt like burying himself on the ground right now.

Listening to his words, the atmosphere in the meeting room became a heavy and sinister silence.

Everyone set their sights on Jasper, who was sitting at the end of the table, as they waited for him to come up with an idea.

Jasper did not answer.

Anyone could understand something as simple as that.

This step is actually not very smart. In fact, it was rather barbaric.

However, it is still effective.

That is a trick that uses predator pricing strategies to buy supplies.

If they did this to a weaker opponent, their opponent would lose all resistance instantly. They will be at the mercy of others.

Previously, Jasper had used a similar method to defeat Zion in Brac Province.

"That's Haddock. lan Hull and Norman Gardner are behind this," Jasper announced in a flat tone.

They were the only ones who did that far to disrupt the Southface River project.

Jasper knew that they would release all their movements one by one.

Sean let out a heavy sigh, "Master Laine, what should we do now?" She asked.

"How long will the rest of the building supplies on the construction site last?" ask Jasper.

As a competent vice president, Sean immediately replied. "Other building materials should be able to last a long time because our supplies are still quite a lot. We have enough to continue for ten or fifteen days. However, we use a lot of cement and steel supplies every day. As of now, our inventory can only last four more days" he said.

"If we don't receive a supply of new building materials in four days, construction will have to be paused."

"Under any circumstances, construction should not be delayed. If construction is suspended, a series of dangerous chain reactions will occur, in addition to drastic financial losses. This is what our opponent is trying to achieve" Jasper said firmly.
