“Jasper! Just wait and see, I will definitely not let you go!" Penelope exclaimed furiously and left.
There was not the slightest bit of regret in Jasper's gaze as he watched Penelope leave angrily.
He should have dumped that woman long ago!
Evening came, the sky turned dark.
Jasper wrote down all the opportunities to earn money he could remember from his memory in his notebook if his memory deteriorated later. This is the most important thing in his life right now. He can't be careless about it.
Someone suddenly knocked on the door.
Jasper opened the door and his gaze met three people—Penelope Hunt, his sister, Calvin Hunt, and his mother, Susan Jones.
A sharp expression was drawn on Susan's face. As soon as he saw Jasper, he pointed a finger at the man and shouted loudly, “Jasper Laine! I let my daughter date you because I thought you were honest and sincere. How dare you dump my daughter, you cold-hearted bastard?! Are you still human?!”
Jasper glanced at Penelope, whose eyes were red from crying. “I broke up with him in a good way. Please keep your mouth clean" he said calmly.
"Fucking empty muzzle!"
Calvin Hunt roared furiously. He pointed at Jasper and shouted, “Look how bitter my brother's crying is! Don't try to defend yourself again. Don't think I don't know if you're doing this just because you're not willing to give us some money.”
“Mother, I told you a long time ago that people from the countryside are very calculating. These two male parents have never managed to accomplish much in their entire lives, so how can you expect their son to achieve anything? How can they compare to people from a city like ours?” Calvin exclaims.
Susan Jones laughed coldly. “I must be blind for allowing my daughter to date you first. Son's right. Two pathetic parents must be raising miserable children too. From this small amount of money, we can say that your personality is trash,” he said.
“Do you think you can just walk away after wasting my daughter's time for so many years? Truly a high-level delusion! Anyway, you should give us 300,000 dollars!”
Jasper remained silent at their ludicrous behavior. "I don't have any money" he said.
Susan scoffed. "No money? Don't you have money after selling your parents' house?”
"Composed!" Calvin said without further ado. “They can rent a room or sleep in the fields after selling their house. After all, they had been farmers all their lives and only knew how to grow crops. Maybe they will feel more comfortable living in the fields.”
Both of Susan's eyes were shining. After the incident, not only did his son have to pay a compensation fee of 300,000 dollars, but he also had to marry the girl. His son was worried because he didn't have a home of his own. Isn't there a property right before their eyes at the moment?
“Yes, this property seems like a pretty good place for Calvin to live after he gets married,” Susan said happily.
Jasper laughs at the plans of this greedy mother and son. “A very good plan. Not only do you want me to sell my parents' house, but you want this house too? My parents spent all their savings to buy this house after I got married!”
"You're such an idiot!" Calvin said impatiently, “If my mother and I disagree, who else would want to marry a poor country boy like you? Why do you still want this house? Isn't this house for you and your wife to live in? You can express your sincerity by giving this house to me as a wedding gift from you to me.”
At this moment, Penelope began to speak as well. “That's right, Jasper. Calvin's my only brother. We've been working so hard just for him, haven't we? Listen to them now. Call your parents and ask them to sell their house, then hand over this property to my brother tomorrow when you go to work. If you do as I ask, I can forgive you and will agree to marry you.”
"Are you guys crazy?"
Jasper looked at the three of them coldly. “Do I owe anything to your family? Or did I not tell Penelope clearly enough this afternoon? I told him to get away. I now tell the three of you to get away as well. Penelope and I are not in a relationship anymore. What right do you have to tell me?” She asked.
Jasper's words made Susan even more furious. He looked at Jasper sharply and gritted his teeth. “You are truly an ungrateful bastard! Fucking bastard!” Susan screaming.
“Jasper Laine!” Penelope screaming. “See how much you have made Mom angry! Apologize right now! Do you remember what you said to me when you chased me first? You don't even want to do this for me right now. Are you still human?” Penelope asked.
“Fuck all this, he used to chase my brother like a dog. Now he abandoned my brother like that. Jasper Laine, you are truly despicable. You pathetic bastard. Your whole family is really pathetic.”.
Before Calvin finished speaking, Jasper glared at him coldly.
“This is my home. Again I said, scram!” Jasper yells. After which, he slammed the door shut with a loud noise.
Staring at the closed door, Susan trembled in anger.
“Mother, forgive me. I didn't know that he was this kind of person.” Penelope cried.
Calvin's expression darkened as well. “Mother, what should we do now? That bastard won't sell his house. I don't want to go to court! My life will be ruined. What about my house?” Calvin asked.
Susan looked at the door angrily. He said hatefully, “Now it's late, let's go home first. There will come a time when ungrateful bastards are karmic!”
