Terence kept raving about the incident. However, he did not notice the dark expression on Zayden's face.
"You're trash!"
Zayden bellowed furiously, cutting off Terence's remark.
He pointed his finger at Terence, almost poking the tip of his nose. "What did I tell you before? I told you to leave an unforgettable impression in front of Jasper Laine. Is that how you intend to do it?" He shouted furiously.
"Damn, this is perfect. You did leave an unforgettable impression on her, but you are of no use to me anymore!"
Zayden was getting angry the more he spoke. He raised his hand and slapped the deathly pale face of Terence.
A loud punch echoed throughout the room.
Chief Terence turned his head to the side due to the power of the slap. Instantly, he clutched his face and rose from the sofa in fear. "Mr Hanks, I'm sorry. I messed things up because I didn't know about your plan" he said in a hurry.
"I'm sorry? There's no point in apologizing to me!"
Zayden scolded him angrily.
"Who do you think you are? Why did I ask you to approach Jasper Laine? I'm asking you to do it so that you can officially join Jasper Laine's company in the future and collude with me personally!"
"Who allowed you to touch her? How dare a fucking disgrace like you offend her? How dare you?"
Zayden was filled with anger. Terence was so frightened that he did not dare to say a word.
Back then, he knew that he had caused trouble with his actions that felt right on his own.
"Don't be angry, Mr. Hanks. How about I try to mend my relationship with Jasper Laine?" He asked, a sad expression radiating on his face.
Terence rolled his eyes and suddenly said, "Master Hanks, don't panic just yet. There's still another method to do this."
Zayden laughed out loud. "Then, tell me. What other method do you mean? I will forgive you if you succeed in correcting your actions" he said.
Terence immediately replied, "Although I offended Jasper Laine, he greatly admired my brother, Darrel Laine. I told you before that my brother is in talks to work with a boss from outside the province. He intends to open a chain of hotpot restaurants in the province."
Zayden scoffed and asked, "Are you not ashamed to talk about such small and lowly businesses?"
Terence laughed flatly and said, "This might not be too visible in the eyes of a leading figure like you, Mr. Hanks. However, I received news of something today. My brother's business was funded by Jasper Laine's investment."
"Therefore, Jasper Laine greatly admired my sister.”
"Maybe we can target my brother instead. We can achieve your goals through him, Mr. Hanks."
Terence's words made Zayden's gaze sparkle. His anger also subsided a little.
"Thul? Are you sure you didn't hear wrong? Is Jasper Laine really investing in this business?" Zayden asked three questions in a row.
Terence answered in haste. "No matter how brave I am, I will never dare to deceive you, Mr. Hanks. That's one hundred percent true" he said.
Zayden walked back and forth for a while. Suddenly, he raised his head and looked towards Sylva, who had not said a word so far. "Dad, what do you think?" She asked.
Zayden knew that his father still surpassed him in terms of strategizing. At a time like this, he had no choice but to ask Sylva for help.
Sylva pondered for a moment before speaking slowly, "Are you planning to place the rodent next to Jasper Laine first, and have the rat cooperate with you in your future plans?"
