"Who am I?"
Jasper smiled mischievously. "In your eyes, aren't I just a stupid stranger from the countryside who has never experienced the outside world?"
Jasper's words were more effective than a slap because Flynn's face was flushed red like it was stung.
As he looked at the discoloration on Flynn's face, Jasper said calmly, "However, this rustic hick might as well be your landlord!"
Then, Jasper turned to Victor and asked, "Director Gul, is this property included in my collection of commercial properties as well?"
Both Scully and Flynn were stunned when they heard the question.
What does he mean by his collection of commercial properties?
Can the word 'group' be used as a measure word for commercial property?
Victor nodded and replied, "Yes, right."
"Done then. I'm your landlord" Jasper told Flynn.
Then, he narrowed his eyes slightly and turned to Victor as he said, "Director Gul, why don't you sit down and eat with us because you're already here?"
Victor smiled awkwardly as he said, "Master Laine, I can treat you to a meal if we go somewhere else. I don't think this place suits you, do I?"
"Of course, it fits. Why not?"
"I've even ordered four dishes that haven't been served yet."
Helpless, Victor could only nod and sit down. At the same time, he glared at Scully and Flynn, his anger visible in his eyes.
"Aren't you going to serve a dish Mr. Laine ordered? Are you waiting for me to walk into the kitchen by myself?"
Scully's smarter. Turning around, he slapped Flynn in the face and scolded him.
Jasper did not pay attention to Scully, who did not know whether she should sit or remain standing. After thinking for a moment, Scully boldly walked up to Jasper and poured him a glass of water. Smiling bitterly, he said, "Master Laine, I've spoiled my nephew until he has become arrogant. I hope you don't mind."
"He wouldn't hold a grudge against me and poison my food, would he?" Jasper seemed to be holding a smile as he spoke.
Scully hurriedly replied, "No, no. He would never dare to do that."
"Mr Herrett, I wonder how much money your niece paid to rent this store?"
Scully's facial expression suddenly changed when she heard the question. Smiling awkwardly, he replied, "Well, things are a bit special, which is why he only charges 70,000 to 80,000 dollars in rent."
"Every two-story store in Waterhoof City costs over 70,000 to 80,000 dollars, right? Not to mention the fact that it was on the Golden Path of Pedestrians," Jasper said calmly.
Scully asked Victor for help.
How could Victor not understand what Scully's face meant? Due to special circumstances, commercial properties on this street require their own property companies to manage and maintain order.
Scully was one of the people in charge of this company, but who would have thought that she had not only offended Jasper but also dragged him into this mess?!
Victor coughed as he said to Jasper, "Master Laine, the town hall considers various factors when commercial property is first rented, which is why the rent is so cheap at that early stage. After all, the main focus during the early stages is to attract more business so that we can improve the popularity and economic conditions of the area."
"I understand. After all, it's definitely not easy working in the town hall." Jasper was even more eloquent than Victor in business speaking, and he smiled as he spoke.
Victor dumbfounded. He did not know what Jasper wanted to do by directing the conversation in this direction.
Just then, Flynn hurriedly gathered a group of servants and asked them to serve three dishes and one soup that Jasper ordered as quickly as possible. He also included seven to eight expensive dishes.
Both Scully and Victor cursed inwardly when they saw seven to eight very expensive free dishes.
Sure enough, Jasper stopped the conversation when he saw the extra dish and asked, "Chef Herrett, do you think I didn't order this dish because I couldn't afford it? Do you feel sorry for me?"
