Because crayfish had not been so popular, Julian toured the city for a very long time before he found a crayfish shop near the outskirts of town, on the street side snacks with stalls selling midnight snacks.
At this moment, the night light was on. The roadside hawker was close to several factories, so many workers and residents living around the area went out for a walk. Thus, the place was currently bustling with energy.
Julian went to order food, and when he returned to his seat, he muttered, "This boiler is very cheap at home. You can see crayfish everywhere in the water, and it costs a dollar per pound. I can't believe this place charges me 15 bucks."
There were two men and two women on Jasper's desk. Especially with Wendy's beauty, everyone noticed them.
Wendy hardly ever visits places like this, so she begins to study her surroundings with curiosity.
Every time he glanced at the bare-chested man holding a beer glass and boasting loudly, they subconsciously reduced their actions - even until they lowered their previously refuted legs on the bench.
Jasper arranged the disposable tableware for Wendy and said with a smile, "The food in the hotel is delicious, but the roadside snacks are also unique in their own way. If I had to choose, I'd choose roadside food over hotel food because I feel more comfortable here."
Wendy pursed her nose and said in disbelief, "Why are you still racking your brain thinking of ways to earn so much money?"
"I don't make money for the sole purpose of buying food. Although food is seen as a primary need, how much can we actually eat? If eating is my main goal, then I've retired a long time ago." Jasper laughs.
"Then, what's your goal in making money, Jasper?" Julian asked because he rarely heard Jasper mention these things.
Jasper pondered for a moment and laughed. "There are many beautiful places in the world that I have not visited. I would like to visit these places, but I will definitely run into trouble in the process. Coincidentally money is the best solution to this problem."
After hearing what he said, Julian scratched his head and said awkwardly, "I don't understand."
As they spoke, the female shopkeepers came up with the dishes they ordered. A large bowl of steaming crayfish was placed in the middle of the table. The crimson-colored crayfish stood out, while its steam and aroma stirred the tastes of everyone.
Therefore, Jasper peeled the crayfish again for Wendy and said, "Try it. You can't get this at the hotel."
Wendy was about to pick it up when there was someone laughing out loud at the next table.
"What a cool thing, I said. I've seen people pretend, but not as good as them. They talk about making a lot of money in one second and the next big hotel."
"Those who are smart enough know that you're eating at a tavern on the side of the road, but those who are unlikely to think that you're a king from a foreign country are here to gain life experience."
What happened after those words was an explosion of laughter.
Julian frowned and then turned his head in annoyance. He saw three to five men sitting next to their table. The man who spoke earlier had a perverted expression on his face as he glanced at Wendy, seemingly proud of the things he had just said.
Julian was even angrier now and was just about to wake up when Jasper said, "Stay in your seat, Julian."
Jasper then turned around and looked at the perverted man, saying, "Am I pretending or not, that's my business. Does that affect you?"
The perverted man chuckled and said with a cynical look, "I didn't know that eating by the roadside could increase your sense of superiority. We players have to stay humble when we go out. We shouldn't say such funny things just to seduce women."
As he spoke, the perverted man whistled at Wendy recklessly and laughed. "Hey beautiful, what good is it about dating this useless handsome guy? Why don't you come and sit with us? Drink with a tough guy like us, right?"
As soon as the man finished his sentence, a bottle of wine smashed into his forehead.
