Victory in Life
Chapter 584

"Zayden Hanks?!"

Hearing that name, the calm Jasper was also shocked.

To be honest, he had almost forgotten about Zayden.

While Zayden had caused Jasper some trouble in Harbor City, Jasper had also dealt with him and Zayden disappeared afterward.

Jasper then had to face some other problems and had no thoughts of thinking about Zayden anymore.

He never expected this bully man to appear again.

Jasper could sense that Zayden's appearance this time was not as simple as it seemed.

"He who looked for me first, seeing that he was rich and powerful, I decided to get acquainted with him, he ordered me to do everything that could deal with you."

"Seeing that our goals are the same and I'm also benefited by this, I agree."

Terence spoke coldly and looked at Jasper. "Yes, I lit that fire, I told you everything you wanted to know, you said you wouldn't hold me to account!"

"And I'll stick with my words."

Jasper smiled and turned towards Terence. "But I was hoping you'd do one more thing for me."

Terence sneered. "You're hoping?, there's no way I'll help you do anything."

"It's okay then." Jasper nodded and turned to Julian. "Contact the city government and tell them that we have found the person who set the fire. Tell them to come and take him to jail."

Terence's expression changed as he shouted, "Jasper! you son of a bitch, you said you wouldn't hold me accountable!"

Jasper replied calmly, "The real estate company is mine and my father-in-law, I can choose not to hold you accountable for my losses, but you have to pay for them, right?"

Terence's face paled in anger as he gritted his teeth and shouted at Darrel, "Do you understand what I mean?! I told you Jasper is mean and cunning! he's sending me to jail now and it's all your fault!"

Darrel looked uncomfortable, and he turned his head towards Jasper only to swallow the words he wanted to say.

Jasper's expression calmed down as he spoke, "You have two options here, work with me, or you can rot in jail."

Terence clenched his jaw, and his gaze was fiery as he growled. "Good, what do you want me to do?"

"Help me find out who the other guys have been in contact with."

Terence was astonished and scorned at Jasper's words. "Who else can I contact? except for his father, no one else knew he was back at all, there was no way he had any other contact."

"You think he's got the guts to come to me alone? why do you think he was trying to deal with me secretly? he has lost too many times to me" replied Jasper calmly.

Terence's brows twitched as he looked at Jasper with hatred. "Sure, whatever you say."

"You don't have to worry about anything else, all you need to do is do what I'm asking, and I can promise no one will hold you accountable for this arson," jasper replied calmly.

Terence sneered. "You'd better keep your promise this time."

Shortly after, Terence leaves, for some unknown reason, Darrel stays behind instead of going with his sister.

Darrel was stunned for a moment before he replied, "Wouldn't he be finding out who the people who are related to Zayden are? that's what you asked him to do, right?"

Jasper replied with a "If only it was that simple. I'll bet that the first thing your sister's gonna do is find Zayden and tell him everything that's happened."

Darrel's expression changed. "No way, how dare he? plus, he promised me"

Jasper replied calmly, "If I were honest, I would say that your sister is more of a businessman than you when it comes to the personalities of the two of you, you are too gentle and easily controlled by your emotions, that's not a good trait for entrepreneurs."

"But your sister is different, she knows how to lie and she's selfish, she also knows how to target others."

Jasper turned to look at Darrel who was gaping in shock and spoke, "The chances of people like you ending up as a big businessman is one in 10,000, whether that is, or you will die trying, or you will die trying, for people like your sister, there's a 5,000 out of 10,000 chance that she'll become a small businessman, but there's also no chance that she'll make it big."

"That was a pretty fierce fight that you two just had, so don't you find it strange that he suddenly wants to be persuaded?" ask Jasper.

Darrel still wanted to argue, saying, "That's because he understood where I came from."

"Not that, people like him harbored hatred towards me that was so deep that it might also be etched into his heart, how could he suddenly understand where you came from?"

"No, he's already made a plan, he'll pretend to oppose it first and then agree to it after some inducement, that way, he'll be acquitted of arson charges while at the same time, he'll be acquitted, it would extinguish all remaining suspicions we have for her."

"But he was also well aware that he wasn't strong enough to take me down on his own, his only option was to get help from Zayden, why else would he suddenly give up with just a few words from you?"

Darrel's lips twitched, he had to admit that Terence the Jasper described was a brother known for being cruel and cunning.

But the scariest of all was not Terence, but the man before his eyes who managed to see the two brothers so clearly, Jasper was terrifying.

"Then why did you let her go?" ask Darrel.

"Since we already know that Zayden is the mastermind behind all this, then nothing else really matters, moreover, don't you think sending Terence back with a false request would give us the perfect diversion?"

"Zayden and Terence used to deal secretly while we were out in the open, but now, the table has changed with them out in the open and we're quietly."

"In addition, they never thought I was responsible for Terence telling Zayden everything, and that just confirmed our victory."

After leaving the villa, Terence quickly took a taxi to the provincial capital.

After a two-hour drive, Terence arrived at the house where Zayden was currently staying.

"Don't I tell you not to look for me unless something happens?"

Zayden was unhappy with the fact that Terence came to his house without sending a single text first.

Terence smiled bitterly. "Something big has happened, Mr. Hanks, and I think I should tell you in person."

Zayden frowned. "What's going on?"

Terence gulped and replied cautiously, "Jasper knew that it was me who lit the fire, he also told me to keep an eye on you to find out if you were related to anyone else."

Zayden listened to his words, his eyes widening as he glared at Terence as if he wanted to tear the man apart.
