"Over four billion ..."
That is a number that will increase blood pressure and ruptured arteries. Jack felt his scalp numb upon seeing her.
While his current boss Charles Granger, the richest man in the world, and four billion dollars are only a fraction of his wealth, it is only because Charles is his boss.
As a professional manager, Jack's annual salary is already considered one of the highest-paid jobs in the country. Still, Jack's mouth was dry when he saw such a frightening figure.
"If you still have doubts, Mr. Tanner, you can come with me to the Commercial Bank to verify it" Jasper spoke clearly.
Jack smiled shyly and could hear Jasper's straightforward words. "It's okay. I'm sure you have no reason to joke about something like this, Mr. Laine."
"Indeed, our time is both too precious for that." Jasper pointed back to the chair where Jack had sat before. Understanding what he meant z Jack sat back down.
Jack calmed himself down and spoke, "If I may ask, Mr. Laine, is all your capital yours or your family's, or is it a joint venture?"
Jasper smile. "Do you know the latest news about the futures market, Mr Tanner?"
Jack nodded. "I haven't tried it myself, but I do know that two mysterious retail investors have recently appeared in the futures market."
"One of them generated tens of millions in revenue with just a few hundred thousand as capital in the domestic peanut futures market not long ago."
While others took it a step further with international crude futures, resulting in several billion defeats... Wait for. Are both of those retail investor accounts yours?"
Jack was stunned by his own conclusion as he stared at Jasper in disbelief.
"To be precise, I didn't even have a single dollar a month ago. I got an 800 grand loan with my home mortgage, and now it's this much."
There were no signs of bragging in Jasper's tone. In fact, the man sounded like he was recounting a normal occurrence.
Fascinated, Jack murmured to himself, "people in the financial circle have been searching for the identities of these two mysterious retail investors all along. I never thought that it was you. It would be shocking news if the public learned that both accounts belonged to the same young man."
Now was not the time to announce," Jasper smiled and asked, "Then, Mr Tanner, is there anything else you want to know?"
Jack asked, "I don't doubt your abilities, Mr. Laine. But I want to know about which industry you want to enter."
Ordinary employees tend to ask about wages and benefits, because a good boss is the one who gives high salaries.
Jack, by contrast, is more concerned about the boss's views. He wouldn't ask about wages at all if their views weren't aligned.
Such a level of cooperation is essentially a reciprocal check between bosses and their professional managers, as opposed to bosses interviewing employees unilaterally.
In response to Jack's question, Jasper answered with certainty, "Internet."
With a memory of what will happen in 20 years, Jasper knows full well that the internet will be the industry that will create the greatest magic of this era.
Both Abbylon Inc. and Terizone Inc. in the future are companies dealing with the internet. They are the real giants of the industry.
Jack's eyes twinkled as he looked at Jasper closely. "Don't talk about the domestic market. Even overseas investment groups are not optimistic when it comes to the internet. They see the current internet trend as something fragile that will be easily destroyed. Are you sure, Mr Laine?"
Jasper smiled a little."It all boils down to the ability to profit in terms of making the industry prosperous. The only reason why the worldwide internet industry is currently unable to make money is because they have not found a method to print money from website traffic."
"As a result, most of the upward trends in this market that you see now are due to capital speculation. I wouldn't blame anyone for calling it fragile at all because it would be destroyed. But I'm also very confident that the internet will affect our overall way of life in the next 20 years."
Jasper pointed to Andros' bustling nightlife outside the coffee shop and spoke in a tone so confident that it was so annoying.
"Look, the country is full of opportunities and gold now. I will create a world that is so prosperous and then I will stand right at the top of this world. Are you willing to miss this, Jack?"
Jack remained silent for two minutes before he finally decided and reached out to Jasper. "I look forward to working with you."
Jasper laughed and reached out to shake Jack's hand. "You won't be disappointed."
Now that they had decided to cooperate, Jack asked, "When are you planning to start the Company, Mr Laine? I have to submit my resignation with Waresoft first and it will take about a week."
"A week is enough. Come find me in my town in a week."
With the partnership established, Jasper leaves the coffee shop with the other two in tow. The three of them went to an Italian restaurant and got to know each other better when they ate.
Jack and Jasper talk a lot during dinner, mostly exchanging business views with each other.
Jack is shocked to learn despite Jasper's young age and the fact that he has spent his entire life in the countryside, he has a keen mind when it comes to business planning and looking for trends. Not to mention that the vision of the youth was very long-term and many of their ideals coincided.
Jack's expression was filled with excitement and hope at the moment they parted ways. He can't wait to get started in Jasper's company and work hard.
Getting in the car, Wendy sighed
marveled. "Sometimes I just want to open your brain and see what's going on inside, Jasp."
"For a professional manager like Jack with his eyes fixed on the sky, I don't even think he'd agree if my dad invited him, if I'm being honest. So why would he listen to you?"
Jasper smile. "How much he gets paid each year doesn't matter to people like Jack, because realizing his goals and ambitions is what's more important to him. What she needs is a platform and a chance to do her."
"That's because Waresoft is too big. Jack knew that no matter how amazing he was, it would not change the fact that he remained just an outsider. He won't be able to use his best abilities with Waresoft, but he can with me. That's why he wants to join us."
Wendy nodded as if she understood and looked out the window to stare at Andros' bustling nightlife, sighing. "Andros is really thriving."
"Our country is experiencing rapid development in the future. What you see now is only Andros who started. Skyscrapers will fill the ground before you know it and Andros will be the economic center of Alexandria as well as the whole world."
Jasper's tone was full of confidence." At that time, my name will be spread by many people throughout the city, as well as the whole world."
Stunned, Wendy stared blankly at Jasper for a moment. He must have thought of something, because he was smiling beautifully. Her beauty resembled hundreds of flowers blooming simultaneously. The inside of the car was suddenly dyed with warm and amorous colors.
"I believe you!"

"I know you trust me, and I promise to make it happen. I want you to be there with me when that happens.
Jasper chuckled, leaving one hand driven while he reached out to take Wendy's hand with the other.
Holding his hand, he placed it lightly on the gears.
She had a beautiful woman in the passenger seat of her luxury car as she left.
This is a sight that almost every man fantasizes about.
By then, Jasper was already on his way to success.
The most important thing is that Wendy is a beautiful woman who is meant to be.
His fragile and delicate hand trembled in Jasper's wide palm in embarrassment, and his delicate skin made him never want to let go.
Wendy had not expected Jasper to make such a sudden move. Thank goodness it was dim in the car. Her red blushing cheeks could only be seen when the streetlights lit up from time to time.
Wendy's heart raced as she felt her entire body freeze.
The conservative part of his mind told him that he could not let Jasper touch him the way he wanted and he had to pull his hand back.
But the voice in his heart rejected him... 'We just held hands. It'sit's okay...'
After a moment of hesitation and mixed feelings, Wendy sided with the voice that said the latter to her.
It was as if Jasper could feel the unease and shame from the woman next to him. She was like a surprised doe
The corner of Jasper's lips curved upwards, but the man remained silent.
A man needs to know how to flirt, but he also needs to know when and where to do it.
At times like this, staying silent was better than anything he could say.
Bentley drove quietly down the highway, and the men and women in the car did not say a word. They chose to sit in a comfortable silence instead.
In the silence of the night, a hint of fragrance floated inside the car and drew their heartstrings.
It was midnight when they arrived in the province, and Jasper drove Wendy home.
"I'll come and pick you up tomorrow, then we can go and register the company at the same joint industrial and trade bureau" Jasper said.
Wendy's cheeks were still blushing, and did not dare to look at Jasper. Making a hurried voice of confession, he ran to his house.
With Bentley's key stuck in his finger, Jasper left the district where Wendy was staying casually..
Wendy went to a commercial bank to resign from her position the next day. With Jasper there, John had no hesitation and ushered in the duo himself once the resignation procedure was completed.
"Wendy is the beauty of our Bank, Jasper. You don't know how many hearts you broke by taking her away. Treat him well, or as his family, we won't let you do what you want.
John is a smart man. There was no way he would recognize the atmosphere of romance hidden around Jasper and Wendy. Those are just the words he said.
"of course. I can't make Wendy suffer." Jasper smiled before changing the subject. "I want to register a company, John. I wonder if you know someone from the procedural aspect of the industrial and trade bureau? Can you help me with a shortcut?
John patted the chest. "Don't worry about that. Mr. Ziegler from the bureau used to be my classmate. I'll go with you."
With John behind him, Jasper and Wendy headed straight for the bureau chief's office. Since John had already called earlier, Mr. Ziegler was very excited and polite when they met.
Despite having prepared mentally, Mr. Ziegler was still struck when he saw the initial capital that Jasper had proposed.
"1... 1 billion?!"
Mr. Ziegler had witnessed many things to sit down as the bureau chief, yet he could not help his shock of seeing an initial capital of 2 billion dollars in this kind of time and era.
